You'll shape small to medium hedges without worrying about cutting through a cord. Dual action blades cut cleanly with reduced vibration for smoother results. The electrical brake stops blades quickly for increased safety between cuts. It's supplied with a 2Ah battery and fast charger so you're ready to start.
The 45cm laser cut blade handles branches up to 14mm thick. You'll work comfortably with the soft-grip rear handle during longer trimming sessions. A dual safety switch prevents accidental starts when you're moving around the garden. It's lightweight at 2.34kg so overhead work feels less tiring. I’ve just bought this and used it once for about 25 minutes. It worked as well if not better than my previous corded trimmer. Easy to handle, though you do need to be careful with handling whilst the battery is still attached. I’ve decided to remove the battery after use.

I decided to try this MacGregor cordless hedge trimmer as I recently bought a MacGregor strimmer and they share same 18v battery. Impressive performance given price and towards bottom end of market. I have been using Gtech and I would definitely describe MacGregor battery life as improvement. I must declare that my Gtech kit is older so batteries may be a little dated but I can say to cut my hedge I needed two full GTech batteries but MacGregor does same hedge with one battery easily! Blade seems firm and sharp so initial cut very good. Good value. Would recommend.

Very happy with the trimmer its very lightweight for me and cuts a privet easily. Mine had grown quite high and it allowed me to cut thrush to a manageable height.
