Excellent portable seat
I’ve had this for a few months now. It has been durable, coped with people over 100kg, and is easy to set up or collapse with a twist. It weighs about 2 kg. When set up it is like a stool - no back support hence one star lost for comfort. Overall though it has been a great buy.

I bought this as I suffer from arthritis and can’t walk very far. It doesn’t suit as it is too low but the reason for review is that it was difficult to open and impossible to close so am returning g it to shop.

The Pro Action Portable Telescoping Camping Stool is designed as a lightweight, collapsible seat, not as a load-bearing step stool. Here’s why it’s not recommended for standing on:
Weight Capacity: It’s rated for sitting (usually around 100–150 kg), but that assumes even weight distribution while seated. Standing concentrates weight on a smaller area, which can stress the telescoping segments.
Structure: The stool uses interlocking plastic rings for height adjustment. These are stable for sitting but can collapse or twist under uneven pressure, making it unsafe for stepping.
Surface Area: The top is small and not textured for grip, so your feet could slip easily.
Bottom line: It’s great as a portable seat, but not safe or intended for use as a step stool. If you need something for reaching shelves, a dedicated folding step stool with anti-slip feet would be much safer.
