Not top quality
Have use this cue now on two snooker evening's, and have found the tip end where it attaches to the wood, not to be straight. I’ve tested it by rolling it on the flat table, and the tip , wobbles out of true.

Snooker cue
I couldn't afford an expensive cue, so I read the reviews and this cue seemed perfect for the price. Although I still had some doubts as wether it would straight as some cue's tend to be unbalanced, but thankfully this one was perfect.

Snooker cue
Yes happy with the item

terrible cue without a proper tip
I returned this as soon as I opened it and saw it. It doesn't really have a tip, just a hard piece of plastic at the end. I only wanted it as a pool cue and I'm not a pro but I have been playing pool for a long time and never seen a cue this poor in any pub.

Hello Disco,
The supplier has advised the following for the Riley 2 Piece Hardwood Snooker Cue and Black Cue Sleeve:
"No, the shaft is finished in a matt lacquer because most players prefer that the shaft is not covered in gloss varnish."
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q&A.

The answer supplied by Argos is quite frankly ludicrous. ALL tips are replaceable, most cues have a glue on tip, usually6 only cheaper cues have a screw-in tip. Cut of with a sharp knife, poss stanley knife, clean surface of cue and the tip you are putting on, add superglue, place together, then shape tip with sandpaper or special tip shaper and away you go. Tips will usually cost around one pound each
Hello there,
I can confirm that this is not a screw on tip and thus is non-user replaceable.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Mand
This has a 11mm tip.

Hi Dan,
It is advised to sand it first before use.
Thanks for using Argos Q&A
I sanded it down with sandpaper but it didn't need a lot of sanding.
Hello Davey,
I have spoken to our suppliers who have advised as follows.
The total length of the cue is 57" (145cm). When split in half, the two pieces are 28.5" (72.5cm) One of the sections has the screw thread protruding from the end, so is an additional 30mm.
Thank you for using Argos Q&A.

Hi william
I can confirm that you can indeed put chalk on the cue. I would advise on trying to sand it first before use.
