About this product
Tackle your ironing pile with ease using the Russell Hobbs Speedglide Electric Steam Iron. The powerful 2400W heating element warms up in under 30 seconds, letting you start ironing almost immediately. The 40 g/min steam penetrates fabrics while the non-stick stainless-steel soleplate glides smoothly for effortless results. For stubborn creases, the 125 g steam shot and water spray handle challenging fabrics.
The 290 mL water tank reduces refills, while separate temperature and steam controls give precise results on any fabric. Vertical steam refreshes clothes and curtains, and anti-drip protection prevents marks. A self-cleaning function maintains performance. Includes beaker and 2-year warranty.

Good first impressions
Not had this iron long but first impressions are good. It's nice and light, irons well with a good temperature range resulting in a smooth finish, especially when using the steam feature. It has a reasonably long flex as well

Exceptional value for money
My first iron purchase in over forty years! How technology has changed. This is a revelation. I've only ironed tea-towels and cushion covers - nothing too complicated - and it's a delight to use. Not too heavy, nice long cord, shiny sole plate, simple to use controls, useful thermostat, large water tank (although not yet used for steaming - bit too advanced for me!), self-clean to prevent limescale build-up and even a vertical facility for hanging garmets, curtains etc. My new Russell Hobbs Speedglide might encourage me to do more ironing? Exceptional value for money from a reliable company.
