This SureFlap Glass Mounting Adaptor is designed for fitting the SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap into glass with hole diameters between 212mm and 260mm. Suitable for cats with shoulder widths up to 14cm, the plastic construction provides a stable fixing point when installed by a professional glazier. Use a qualified glazier for glass installations to avoid cracks or improper fitting.
The adaptor bridges the gap between glass and cat flap that standard wall fittings can't handle. Made from durable plastic, it measures 120mm high and 142mm wide to match the SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap exactly. A 3 year manufacturer's guarantee covers the component against defects. The adaptor works in both windows and doors, giving flexibility on where to position access points without compromising the integrity of the glass.

Amazing for metal doors
I used this with a metal door, not a glass door. This is also the solution for if you have put the catflap connect into the metal door and it’s struggling to read the microchip or has poor range. I was sent several catflap a as they all seemed to be faulty, I thought I’d just give it a go. They all work with it, I wish I did it on the first installation. Easy to fit.

Please take note that if you purchase the SureFlap pet door you need to purchase the SureFlap pet glass adaptor directly from the company not ARGOS. This product is not compatable with SureFlap pet door. Who knew pet doors flaps were different! To be fair Argos refunded adaptor without any issues but a clear description would have been more helpful.

Bought this to enable a sureflap cat flap to be fitted into glass . It does the job but is only a bit of plastic and seems overpriced I can't think why it isn't included when purchasing the cat flap. Or rather I can, as it is another means of making extra revenue.

No, the mounting adaptor itself does not include any screws.
You use the screws that come with the cat flap, and those do come in three different sizes.

To fit your cat flap into glass, you will require a circular
hole to be cut measuring 212 mm (8 3/8'') in diameter.
This will need to be done by a professional glazier.
To ensure your cat has unhindered access through the cat
flap, you will need to make sure that this circular hole is
cut at the appropriate height. Do this by first measuring
the height from your cat’s tummy to the floor.

Working with glass is a skilled job and should be carried out by a professional glazier. It is not possible to cut holes in toughened glass or double glazed units except at the time of manufacture. Please consult a glazier.

The diameter of the SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap mounting adaptor is 285mm an therefore too large for the panel, however it is plastic and can be trimmed to fit.
