Good
Bought to replace a similar model that broke after many years(metal fatigue on foot pedals). This one is bolted rather than welded which should make it more repairable way in the future. Great for general fitness. Knocked a star off as counter isn't very accurate.

A Good workout
Purchased a few months back and it's been a reliable piece of equipment. It has had some friction around the steps/runners causing flaking f the plastic but operationally it's still good.

Great quality exercise machine
Bought this step machine after reading good reviews and it doesn't disappoint. Well made sturdy and really easy to assemble. When in storage it takes up very little room.

Awesome!
I bought this 4 months ago and I use it regularly. When I first got it I couldn't do more than 5 mins without needing a break but now I'm up to 30mins. It really works the legs and bum and it gets you out of puff too!! My only complaint would be that the pedals are a bit small

Hi Laurie.
The advice provided on this Maxi Climber by New Image is as follows:
"ONLY USE THE MaxiClimber® ON A FLAT, STABLE SURFACE. DO NOT USE THE MaxiClimber® ON A SMALL AREA RUG THAT MAY TEND TO MOVE WHILE EXERCISING"
This would therefore be suitable for use on a carpet provided it is flat and stable.

I would suggest checking the counter - timer whilst moving the the platforms by hand through there full range and see if it works, Ive discovered you have to take quite large steps for it to register, what feels a normal step to me doesnt activate the timer, I do 15 mins and the most Ive managed to get the timer to show is 3min.
Hello, we had the same problem but bought a new battery and it works amazing now! Good luck!
