Great Purchase
I bought this several weeks ago for my dad and I was conscious of checking its safety features, therefore this item ticked all my boxes. I like the idea of the USB portal too.

Very sturdy but a little bulky product
I bought this about a month ago. When I opened the box i found it to be a little bulky but with very sturdy built quality. Although I have not used it with high voltage products yet but it claims to handle 13A of electrical products which can include iron, heaters and almost anything I have in my house and that was also my main reason to buy this product. Very positive review for me. Deducted 1 star just for its size.

The switch should cut all power when rocked to the off position, so it sounds like you have a stuck or welded switch mechanism in your extension.
Being only 2 months old you are well within the first 12 months of ownership so the trade counter should replace this for you per UK Consumer Law (as a function of the purchase contract between yourselves).
