Absolutely love this air fryer. It's a lot bigger than I expected, but fortunately I have the space. My last air fryer had two sliding drawers and this is much better with its hinged lid which allows you to throw everything into one tray. The thermometer is a revelation, you leave it in a piece of meat for the duration of cooking and it detects when the meat is cooked and stops the air fryer for you. Would recommend.

Had it a few weeks and have used all the operations apart from dehydration. Very happy with the overall performance and ease of use. Only gripe is the removal and addition of the splash guard; seems unnecessarily awkward.

Took a while to be persuaded to bury an air fryer. Very happy that we now have the Ninja. We have a large busy family and we can now prepare the meals we need as and when in a fraction of the time needed before. Love that we can roast/ bake and fry and it fits a large amount of food.

Fantastic bit of kit
This is my second ninja i had the air fryer 7kg which was stilling in working order. i saw this one on a special offer. and thought id give it a try as the grill fuction really appealed. i have not been dissapointed. in fact i wiah id had this from the get go. Everything ive cooked has been great from steaks to chickens and home made chips. Today i cooked some sausages for the first time and they were cooked evenly without haveing to to turn. I cannot recommend it enough.

You can cook frozen food with no problems. However, ingredients must be thawed when using the thermometer. Please have a look at the recipe book that comes with the appliance for a more comprehensive experience.
This grill uses a convection fan, so you will hear a steady fan sound and food sizzling, similar to a countertop convection oven. The fan may continue to run briefly after cooking to cool the unit.
Remove the splatter guard under the lid, then clean it after each use. Let it cool, press the top tab to unhook it, pull the handle forward, then wash with warm soapy water using the supplied cleaning brush. For heavy buildup, soak to loosen grease or deep clean by boiling the splatter guard in water for 10 minutes, rinse and dry before refitting. Wipe the underside of the lid around the heating area with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit or use metal scouring pads. Always cook with the splatter guard installed.
In this instance, the functions of air fryer and grill are different. Therefore, it would not be feasible to utilize the unit for both purposes simultaneously.
The Ninja MAX Grill & Air Fryer uses a durable ceramic non-stick coating on its Grill Plate, Crisper Basket, and Cooking Pot that is completely PTFE- and PFOA-free.
This Grill & Air Fryer is not designed to produce steam as part of its cooking process; instead, it utilises Cyclonic Air Technology, which circulates hot air at high speeds to cook food quickly and evenly, delivering a chargrilled finish. However, during cooking, especially when preparing foods with high moisture content, you might notice some steam or condensation escaping from the appliance.
