I got this to replace one that had gone wrong. It is the same make and almost the same design. It is easy to set clock and alarm times. The only fault is that the alarm switch, which unlike the old model, is very fiddly to turn on and off. The light button is noisy when pressed which is the same as the old model, but I keep a tiny keyring light next to it and use that to tell the time. But I can live with that as I hate any kind of extra light in the bedroom.

Relacement for previous Acctim
Bought this as had a similar design Acctim for years. This one is similar in design but much smaller. At night when the light button is pressed a rather dark bluish light comes on making it impossible to read the numbers which are in black. Sadly not the great replacement I had hoped for, but a penalty of not having seen the item before purchasing from Argos.

The supplier has advised the following for the Acctim Aura LCD Alarm Clock - Black:
"When the alarm is activated, press the snooze button to stop the alarm, then slide the alarm on/off switch to ‘off’ and ‘on’ again, and the alarm will activate/sound again the same time the next day.
This alarm clock has one alarm time setting, so if you need it to go off again same day but at a different time, then you will need to set a new alarm time."

It only lights up when you press the top so this would be perfect for you. I too don't like any light at night.

It is supposed to run on batteries, but the clock is faulty. It isn't allowing me to set the time!!, I cannot return it because I through away the box by mistake!, So I'm stuck with faulty goods. I only had it a few days!!
