Customers Say
These metal obelisks offer great value, are sturdy and tall, and support climbing plants well. Assembly can be fiddly and some find them large or slightly flimsy, but overall they look good and perform adequately.

Large and Sturdy
Once put together the supports seem very sturdy but they are incredibly large - bigger than I'd imagined! The legs can be shortened though. I bought 4 but will be returning 2 as they are too imposing for what I wanted. I bought metal as I thought wooden ones would rot but I'm not sure how long the metal supports will last before they corrode around the screw holes. I bought them in the sale though so consider them good value for money.

Great obelisks
I ordered 2 sets of this obelisk. It went together easily & was very stable. Looks lovely in the garden so I ordered another set & now have 6!!! I have had lots of compliments. Even better they were in the sale making them an absolute bargain.

Ok for the price
Have only built one of these & due to its poor quality it’s not symmetrical. It will do the job & it’s inexpensive so I won’t bother to return.

Good buy and good quality
Keep buying these as they are great for most climbing plants plus large roses. Keeps them under control. Have 8 now to keep control and keep garden tidy.

Don't bother
Rubbish! Why does it come in so many pieces that are fiddly to screw together when I can buy a sturdy one elsewhere that's ready made for only slightly more? Don't bother

Great Value
I wasn't expecting too much having read some of the reviews. I think that the obelisk is great value for the money. It seems stable enough and strong enough to support a climbing rose.

Hello there,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Decorative Obelisk - Twin Pack: ''They are tubular.''
Thank you for using Q & A.
They're tubular - pretty sturdy. I've had mine since early Spring and so far they've stood up well to weather and under the (fairly minor) weight of a young honeysuckle, and a young jasmine.
Yes
Hello Patricia,
The supplier has advised the following for the Decorative Obelisk - Twin Pack:
You would need to assemble this, the product is shipped flat-packed.
Yes, this product would be fine to use in large garden tubs for climbers. You’d need to be sure the tub is stable and big enough for this use and you’d need to be sure that the Obelisk can be fixed deep enough that it too would remain stable in the pot.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Yes, it needs to be assembled. I am not sure about large tub but they look nice in a 40 lts pot.

Hello Vm214,
The supplier has advised the following for the Decorative Obelisk - Twin Pack:
“ This product can used for climbing beans, that’s a very good idea. ”
Thanks for using Q&A.
Perfectly strong, although I would recommend really pushing the legs far into the ground for those very windy days. Or better still, sink them into some Postcrete.
Hello Neet,
The supplier has advised the following for the Decorative Obelisk - Twin Pack:
The load capacity of this product is about 2kg, so it’s strong enough to support climbing roses.
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Possibly - we use them for raspberries, which are quite sturdy
Yes, absolutely. I purchased these for some shrub roses that I know will grow much higher but would currently look silly in these obelisks if they were fully constructed, there would be way too much height to them compared to the size of the plant. So I put them together without the mid section and middle ring, it is very stable. When the roses grow taller in a year or two I will easily be able to add in the middle section to make the obelisks higher.
YES! Due to the legs being in sections the height can be reduced by 2ft approx.
Just make sure that you take our a section that supports one of the rings, not the actual leg sections themselves.
Hi Abe
We would not suggest leaving out a rung as this will impact on the stability of the product
Thanks for using Q & A
