About this product
Trimming tall shrubs without a ladder? The Spear and Jackson Razorsharp Telescopic Pruner reaches high branches safely from the ground. It's got a carbon steel head that combines a lopper and saw for versatile cutting. You'll handle stems up to 30mm with the lopper section. The saw tackles thicker branches that need more aggressive cutting. The telescopic handle extends up to 92 inches so you'll reach overhead growth comfortably. This tool keeps you grounded while maintaining trees and tall shrubs effectively.
The carbon steel blade stays sharp through regular pruning tasks. You'll switch between cutting methods without changing tools. The extendable design means you won't need a ladder for most jobs. It's practical for gardeners who want safe access to higher branches. The dual cutting options handle different branch thicknesses efficiently. This pruner gives you reach and versatility in one tool.

Good quality and does the job.
I needed a tool to cut a Pyracantha bush that had grown to near 20' in height and was also impinging on the roadway outside my house. The instructions weren't entirely clear that you needed to give a sharp pull on the chord to cut, but once I established that the cutting was sharp and clean. It said it would cut branches up to 30mm and it does that very well. Once I extended it to its full height it does become a little unwieldy. You need to hook the anvil over the branch to steady it, but you are still holding a long tube and trying to pull on the chord at the same time. Overall I was expecting a Spear & Jackson tool to be very good and it certainly is. I haven't tried the saw attachment and again at its full extension I would imagine it would be difficult to use...but I may be surprised. If you have a tall bush or tree to prune I would highly recommend this product.

Bit heavy
I’m a 62 year old woman and I’m not that feeble but I do find it a bit heavy , the saw part isn’t that easy to do and although I bought so I could do my own work I think I may need some help for some of the things that need doing so not as independent as I wanted to be unfortunately

Does what it says
I have used this to cut mature hedging and over hanging tree branches without any problems - the pruner really is 'Razorsharp'.

Great value
Very sturdy and sharp with a good long reach. A little on the heavy side for me, I'm only 5'2" , female and in my late 60's so found it tricky to manoeuvre at times. It did the job though and I was pleased with the results, cutting through effectively. I haven't used the saw attachment as yet but it looks like it could tackle thicker growth with ease.

Surprisingly Impressed
Only used for smaller branches so far, thickest being an inch or so. I was apprehensive as these aren’t particularly expensive but I’m impressed. Blade seems sharp. Cut through no problem and easy to use. Not sure how easy it would be to use the saw at height though, it’s a bit flimsy.
