A Mic I Will Be Using For Years To Come!

Quite a suprise when I bought this microphone. I bought it as I saw it was Saturday n deal AND watched a bunch of reviews on YouTube. All of it boiled down to the Elgato wave 3 and I must say, I was completely blown away by the expectations of this mic. It is insanely clear to my videos, streams and friends I have in chat, and the gain knob allows me to set the sensitivity of the mic to be exactly how I want it, whether it's up close to my mouth or far away. The actual mic itself is very light and quite small for how clean it sounds, and the miute button on top of the mic is a cool feature. As the mic is a condenser mic, the noise it picks up form keyboards and mice is a bit annoying l, but what also sold this mic to me was it's Wave Link software. The noise cancelling it has is by far the cleanest and most powerful I've ever used (steelseries sonar is still first place for me however but wave link is a defo second place) it completely removes ALL background noises and leaves my voice intact. So I strongly recommend this mic, even for the price it is listed for, as it defo worth a lot more.

Easy to set up and decent audio quality

Straightforward to set up, so that was great especially being a beginner with mics and setups. Works great for streaming and gaming with friends much better sound than you’d find in a headset. It’s good quality and robust too.

a joke for the price

I have a dual PC setup for streaming, and the Elgato Wave 3 microphone has multiple issues, including needing to reconnect every 30 minutes, poor audio quality, frequent drops in input detection that require PC restarts, distortion or crackling during use (especially when multitasking like speaking and typing), buzzing or static noise (sometimes every few seconds), gain settings randomly resetting to maximum, compatibility problems with certain laptops (e.g., Dell models causing no input in Windows), software crashes or freezes in Wave Link that demand full uninstall/reinstall cycles, no microphone detection in the Wave Link app despite working as a generic device, audio passthrough failing to headphones or monitors, unintended peaking and cutting out for louder voices, feedback loops avoid this mic

This microphone is very good.

This microphone is amazing, but the main reason why you bought it is because of elgato software which makes streaming or making content more easier all of your channels is in the same place, software is the main reason why I bought it microphone sounds very clean, very easy to set up, plenty of videos online if you find it difficult in the beginning.

The USBsoftware that comes with the microphone is wonderful, you can setup different microphone types for different environments. It's faily straight forward. I would recommended!

Easy to use with a little setup

After running my old mic setup for 5 years I couldn't have chosen a better upgrade. Not only is the mic quality perfect but the software that's included (download only) is easy enough to understand and helps out massively with almost any sound situation. It took a little while to get setup at first, but tweaking little bits with the EQ, and compression to make sure it sounded right I joined my first discord call with friends and they all noticed the difference immediately. Not only does the software allow you to adjust your voice but also volumes for your calls,games and music with 2 sliders one for you and the other for if your friends join a stream, so if you're struggling to hear your friends over a game you can lower the game volume to hear them better. The mic does come with a desk stand which has a nice weight to it but to avoid any vibrations I opted for a kick arm and grabbed the Logitech Compass G to pair with it allowing me to not only stop and vibration though the mic but keep it out the way whilst it's not in use. All in all I'd say if you want to swap from that low quality mic they put in headsets and be heard more clearly these are perfect for you.
