About this product
The Habitat Lorelei Narrow Bookcase sorts your book collection without taking up loads of floor space. It's a tall, slim design that fits into tight spots like alcoves, hallways or beside desks where wider storage won't go. The steel frame keeps it sturdy and lightweight at the same time, so it stands up to daily use without feeling heavy or bulky. Four fixed shelves give you plenty of room for books, indoor plants, or bits and pieces you want on display. The black finish works with most room styles and colour schemes.
The steel frame means it's strong enough to hold up to 10kg per shelf, so you can store hardbacks, reference books, or heavier items without worry. Metal handles make it easy to move into position during setup. Wall-mounting fixings are included and must be used to prevent tipping, that's really important for taller units like this. Assembly takes two people and comes with clear instructions. There's a one-year guarantee from the manufacturer.

Nice shelves, easily scratched
The shelves are nice overall and look great in the space, but they arrived with visible scratches and dents, and the black painted metal surface scratches very easily.

Good but let down by few things.
The shelves are good but spoilt by several bits of chipped paintwork out of the box as other people have commented on. It wasn’t bad enough to send back but was disappointing. The instructions are awful and the customer help no better. The shelves come with a bracket to attach them to the wall. The bracket is a bit of black plastic which again lets the product down and isn’t shown in any of the images in the website. Wall plugs are provided but the instructions don’t say what size drill bit to use. I rang the customer help line but they didn’t know either. You will need to use the brackets as the shelves are very lightweight and will easily tip over otherwise.
