About this product
The Miele Guard L1 Cat & Dog is built for homes with pets, combining strong suction power with an Active AirClean filter that captures 99.99% of dust, pet hair, and allergens while neutralising odours. It's a cylinder vacuum made in Germany and tested for the equivalent of 20 years of use, with 4 adjustable power levels so you can switch between gentle and maximum depending on the surface.
The TurboBrush removes pet hair from carpets and upholstery, and the adjustable floorhead switches between hard floors and carpets. Weighing 6.4kg, the Comfort handle 2.0 makes it easy to manoeuvre, and the 8.5m cord offers plenty of reach. The 3.5l dustbin has a full indicator. Included are crevice, upholstery, dusting, TurboBrush, combination nozzles, and chrome telescopic tubes. The 2m hose extends to 2.2m, with foot-operated cord rewind. It runs at 75dB and works on carpets, hard floors, rugs, upholstery and stairs.

Design needs improvement.
I bought this to replace a much older cat and dog model. The old model was more intuitive to use, re buttons and usage The handle on this one is clumsy and lumpy for no good reason. The nozzle brush is not as good as the old one. The body does move over the carpet better though.

You get what you pay for - well worth the money
Bought this to replace a 20 year old miele cylinder hoover, I was concerned that it wouldn't be as powerful - how wrong was I? Amazing suction, brought pile back to life. A bit lighter than the old one, which for me was a bonus. I have bought so many different hoovers in the past (dyson/sebo/kirby/vax and more) But for me Miele is the best. I do have a cordless samsung which is used daily as a quick option for kitchen diner.

Very few tools included
I am generally happy with this vacuum as it has good suction and is fairly easy to pull. However I am disappointed that very few tools are included only two large heads. Not even a crevice tool. I have had to order a compatible set from Amazon as I cannot afford the extras from Miele. Quite annoyed.

I would still recommend this product
The suction on this vacuum is excellent, however the only flaw for me is that is states it’s designed for pet hair but the roller has pet hair wrapped around after each use, it’s easy enough to remove but just a bit irritating that it occurs each time. The vacuum is easy to manoeuvre, nice and lightweight.

I bought this a while ago and love it. No complaints, runs well, the attachments are brilliant for each area of the house to clean. Strong suction, bag fills up relatively quick, but its quiet and overall exactly as expected.
