A well-equipped and versatlile power station
This is a robust and substantial piece of kit. It's quite heavy but nonetheless portable. Quiet and efficient once running properly. However guidance which comes with it is minimal. Installing the EcoFlow app is essential and access to the EcoFlow website at https://manuals.ecoflow.com/eu/product/river-3-plus-wireless?lang=en_US is important. Our particular unit would not initially charge properly and resolving this took a number of draining/recharging cycles. Contact with EcoFlow was moderately good and they did offer to 'repair' the unit under Warranty if the charging issue was not fixable. However this proved unnecessary and the unit is working fine as our Uninterruptable Power Supply

YOU WON'T REGRET BUYING THIS
I run a small TV off this, a DVD player and I charge my phone and tablet. That uses less than half the capacity. I give it a quick charge when it's off peak. It runs silently. I have another Ecoflow power station that I've had for years. I run the fridge off that. It's ideal for corners of the house where you don't have power. At the moment I'm saving 40p per day on my bill so it'll be a long time before it pays for itself but I'm delighted. For larger households this is ideal for a power cut, camping or a man cave or workshop. This won't boil a kettle, operate an iron or anything with an element. You need a larger one for that. But it's great for emergencies or short term off-grid living. Oh, and you can jump start your car with this if you have a car battery charger. Just take this and the battery charger out to the car instead of trying to get the battery out of the car. Once you have it you'll find lots of uses for it.

Brilliant small power station.
I have used this on a camping trip for a couple of days. Charged up really quickly at home using the ac input, and kept all my devices charged and hardly made a dent in its capacity. Brilliant range of outputs ac and dc, as well as handy usb ports. The unit is compact and easy to move around. The unit is really quiet in operation, you wouldnt even know it was there.

Great little power station
Excellent little power station. The fact that you can just use the powerstation or the battery is great allowing for dual use and extended runtime. Recharges fast and has multiple ways of recharging. It is silent in operation and appears to be efficient. I certainly would recommend it if it meets your output requirements.

I bought this a month ago and am very happy with it. The build quality is excellent — you can tell it's well made and feels solid. Recharge time is quick and output is reliable for everyday use like charging laptops, phones, and small appliances. The only thing I'd say is that if I'd known in advance, I would have gone for a more powerful model. If you're planning to run anything more demanding, go for a unit with a bigger capacity than this one — it makes a real difference. Overall though, very satisfied with the purchase.

Power bank.
I bought this for power cuts ect, it has 2 domestic AC plug sockets and 4 usb ports. It changes quickly. It will only power small watt items but will keep a fridge running for a few hours and recharge a phone and a laptop. It does have a small removable battery that can be used like a power bank also. In all it holds half a kilowatt hour.

According to the "Parallel Connection Introduction" in the official RIVER 3 series training documentation, the extra battery (expansion battery) connects to the main unit via the dedicated expansion port. Once connected, the main unit and the extra battery are managed as a unified battery system. Specifically, the system prioritizes charging the battery with the lower voltage and discharging the one with the higher voltage. When the voltage levels of both batteries are roughly equal, they charge and discharge simultaneously. Therefore, whether you are charging the main unit via AC power, solar panels, a car charger, or USB-C, the extra battery charges along with it; there is no need to detach it for separate charging.
Please note that the extra battery itself does not have AC or solar input ports; it relies on the main unit or the connection port for power. Thus, the standard usage method is to keep it connected to the main unit for simultaneous charging.
The R3 Max (572Wh) has a maximum expandable capacity of 858Wh, allowing you to add an expansion battery (EB300) with a capacity of approximately 286Wh. The short answer is yes to a very small heater on a low setting for at best 40mins. Pick a bigger power station for a heater.

The box for this is the battery and the main unit together so the box is 11kgs as combined and can't be split unless you take it out of the box.
