About this product
The Miele Guard M1 Bagged Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner is a compact corded model that's built to cover large areas without constant socket changes. With a 10m operating radius (11m on some surfaces), you get plenty of reach from a 7.5m power cord and 2m hose. It runs on 890 watts and has a 6-stage rotary selector, so you can dial in the right power for carpets, hard floors, rugs or upholstery. The AirClean filter retains 99.99% of dust, which is brilliant if anyone in the house has allergies or asthma.
The universal floorhead works on all floor types, and you get a crevice nozzle, upholstery nozzle, dusting brush, and combination floor nozzle for furniture, stairs and curtains. The 4.5l dustbag means less frequent emptying, with an indicator to show when it's full. At 7.2kg, it's heavier than a cordless stick but manageable for a cylinder, and the chrome telescopic tubes adjust to your height. The foot-operated cord rewind keeps things tidy, and the compact design stores neatly. It runs at 77 decibels, quieter than most bagless models, and is tested for 20 years of use.

Smart looking machine with many features.
Only bought this Cylinder Vacuum in the last days after many years with an upright cleaner so it's early days yet but it seems promising. There are four suction levels ranging from mild to very powerful with the noise levels being raised accordingly. It has a very long power lead which means that it can be used over quite a considerable area, this recoils quickly into the machine by simply pressing on a large button at the base of the machine. The vacuum head can be lenghtened or shortened as required, this also goes under any raised furniture quite comfortably. It works on rugs and solid floors equally well. As I live in a bungalow I'm sure that it will prove to be a good machine and it came with a range of various cleaning heads.

Didn’t think I’d ever be excited about a hoover, but this Miele proved me wrong. The suction is so strong it could probably lift the carpet if I wasn’t careful. The attachments are actually useful. Not the usual mystery bits you shove in a drawer and forget about. It glides around furniture and Lego traps like it’s got a mind of its own, and it picks up crumbs, dust, and whatever chaos the kids have been secretly grinding into the carpet. The bagged system keeps everything clean, no dust clouds attacking me. Honestly, it makes the house look like I tried way harder than I did. Love it.
