BabyDan Super Flexi Fit Safety Gate

Great quality product
I needed a stairgate that was not just high quality to keep my daughter safe but to also not create a trip hazard as I regularly need to lug stuff up and down our stairs. I considered the expandable gates that didn't require drilling into the wall, but they didn't appear to be sturdy enough or a good fit for our slightly wider than normal stairs. This product ultimately provided a good balance of having high quality materials, being wide enough for our stairs, fairly priced and being safe for both my daughter and myself! It was a little tricky to install, but this was more to do with the awkward space I was installing it into (a wall one side, a door frame on the other and a nearby radiator which restricted placement). Instructions were fairly straightforward to follow. For installation I recommend someone who has a bit of DIY experience, but once it's up it works very well and my daughter hasn't worked out how to open it yet. The only issue I've had is occasionally the gate comes out of the bottom wall bracket on the oppposing side to the latch when opening it, but this is probably due to my imperfect installation as a dodgy DIYer! It's also very easy to take off when not in use and the wall brackets it attaches to are discreet enough but strong. All in all, I highly recommend this product and should have got it sooner.

Hi Rebecca.
The BabyDan Super Flexi Fit Safety Gate is designed to work on walls that are not flush, including situations where skirting boards stick out on one side. The gate is wall-mounted and features angle-mounting brackets, allowing it to be installed at non-parallel angles. It’s highly adjustable, so you can mount each side independently to accommodate uneven surfaces like protruding skirting boards.

This safety gate is opened in a three-way action, by lifting the section free from the wall bracket and then opening the door either to the right or left. This action can be done with one hand.
