About this product
Whether it's a day hike or a picnic, the Decathlon Ice Backpack Cooler keeps your food and drinks fresh without the fuss of carrying a bulky cool box. The insulated design holds temperature for hours, so sandwiches stay crisp and drinks stay chilled from car park to campsite. The lightweight construction won't weigh you down on the walk, and the hands-free backpack design leaves you free to carry other gear or keep kids wrangled. The bottle holder system inside keeps drinks upright and secure, so nothing tips or spills during transport.
The compact design fits enough for a family lunch or a day's snacks without taking up boot space. The durable fabric handles regular outdoor use and wipes clean after muddy adventures. The internal bottle holder keeps everything accessible when you need it, no more digging around for that cold drink. Suits day trips, beach outings, or short road trips when you want fresh food without the hassle of ice packs melting everywhere.

Perfect for carrying frozen food
I bought this because I no longer own a car so do a lot of my shopping on foot and bus. I buy frozen fruit and veg because they keep better, but I’m often buying several 1KG or 500g bags at a time and this is too much to carry with all the other bits and pieces. So, I bought this. I can now put all my frozen food in this on my back and still carry two bags with my others shopping. Keeps tighter frozen stuff nice and cool and it comfy so very happy. Big enough for me and very light.

Great comfy bag
I bought this for a holiday and took it on a hike. It was perfect for the job. It’s big enough for two (500ml) water bottles, a small first aid kit and I could have fit a snack in too, if I’d had one. I used the side pocket for sun cream and it was really comfortable to carry for the walk, which was about 90 mins. Really happy with it.

Great beach or pick nick bag
Great little beach bag. Insulated middle section keeps water bottles and food cool, compartment on inside of lid keeps mobile phone cool, front pocket for wallet etc... handy quick access net pocket on side and side clips to hold rolled up towel or pick nick blanket depending on how you use it. Packs down to nothing if taking away and luggage is tight. Comfortable padded straps even when fully loaded with water bottles. Great addition to a beach day trip or pick nick.

Hello AMORFC,
Thank you for your inquiry regarding the Decathlon Ice Backpack 10L.
The backpack does not have a dedicated, separate internal compartment for ice packs. It is designed as a single, large insulated chamber to maximize its 10L capacity. However, it includes features to help organize your items:
- Internal Elastic Straps: An elastic band inside the main compartment holds a bottle or ice pack upright against the back of the bag, preventing it from sliding.
- Outside Pocket: A separate exterior zippered pocket is available for items like keys, phones, or wallets. Please note that this pocket is not insulated.

Hello Josh,
The Decathlon Ice Backpack Cooler 10L Insulated And Compact carrying system is with adjustable straps.
Thank you for using the Q&A
Yes it does leak. I have just returned this item - after having to argue with Argos about the validity of the return. Bought this for an evening at the beach and purely from the condensation of ice packs and cold drinks this immediately leaked down my back. Absolutely worthless waste of money, especially after seeing this response from the brand. Argos employee tested the item and decided it was NOT faulty because the entire thing was porous and the official description does not say waterproof.
Hello Tomatino,
The interior of this isothermal backpack is waterproof, designed specifically to contain condensation from ice packs. We always recommend to use ice packs instead of loose ice to avoid excess liquid. Thank you for using Q&A!
Hello Sunnydaze,
Externally there's one mesh side pocket for bottle storage together with the strap, exactly as advertised on pictures.

Hello auk929,
Yes, you can use this ice backpack to store diabetic insulin pens. Please note, the backpack maintains contents at a cool temperature for approximately 5 hours. If you add 600g of ice the cooling duration extends to about 8 hours. Thank you for using Q&A!
Hello Gilly,
No need to place the item inside the freezer as It will keep the food cold for about 5 hours. By adding 600 g of ice, the time to go from 5°C to 15°C increased to 8 hours in the same conditions.
Thank you for using Q&A!
