About this product
Whether it's a weekend camping trip or a festival, the Decathlon Folding Transport Trolley keeps your gear moving. The foldable frame packs down for easy storage in your car boot or garage when you're not heading out. Large wheels roll smoothly over grass, gravel and uneven ground, so you can haul tents, sleeping bags, and supplies from car to pitch without multiple trips. The ergonomic handle gives you a comfortable grip when pulling heavier loads, and the expandable storage stretches when you need extra room for blankets or coolers.
The sturdy design handles bulky items like family tents and camping chairs. Heavy-duty wheels tackle sand and rough terrain without getting stuck. Includes elastics to expand storage when you've got more to carry. The trolley folds flat for compact storage between trips. Durable construction stands up to regular outdoor use, making it a practical choice for family camping weekends or festival hauls where you need your hands free and your back happy.

Camping cart
Bought on Friday, local scout group going to camp for the weekend. It was great! Sturdy, robust but lightweight. All the children wanted to use it so we had a constant demand to fetch water and move things around. We love it!

Sturdy trolley
Only used once to take camping gear from car at festival. Did what I needed it to. It’s quite shallow which prohibits putting too much in but the elasticated straps help keep everything in. Seems sturdy, as it should be for the price.

Hello JoJ,
Below is the information regarding how the Decathlon trolley handles the specific terrain of the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) and Heathrow, as well as the realities of hitching it to your Whill C2 powerchair.
1. The Terrain: RIAT & Heathrow
This Decathlon trolley is well-suited for your gear (cool boxes, chairs, clothing up to a 50kg limit). However, please keep the specific locations in mind:
- Heathrow: The trolley will glide flawlessly across the smooth airport floors.
- RIAT (RAF Fairford): The Air Tattoo is vast, and you will traverse a mix of hard-standing tarmac, compacted gravel, and rough flightline grass. Decathlon officially notes that this standard model is designed for flat, firm ground. While the wheels are wide enough to handle the grass at RIAT, they are solid plastic/polyethylene rather than large, rubberised, air-filled all-terrain tyres. An able-bodied person will find it easy to pull on the grass, but it will create some rolling resistance.
2. Towing with the Whill C2
Out of the box, this trolley is designed exclusively as a manual pull-along cart. It features a free-floating telescopic handle meant to be held by a human hand and does not include a rigid tow bar or a universal hitch coupling.
While it can be modified to work with your Whill C2, please consider the following mechanical limitations:
- The Handle Issue: Because the trolley’s handle drops down when released, you cannot simply loop a rope from the handle to your chair. If you decelerate or go down a ramp, the trolley will roll forward and hit the back of your Whill C2. To tow it safely, a rigid, DIY tow-bar bracket needs to be clamped to the handle to keep a fixed distance between the chair and the cart.
- Whill C2 Power & Clearance: The Whill C2 is a high-torque powerchair with omni-wheels that can easily handle the grass at RIAT. It has the motor power to pull 30–40kg of gear on flat ground. However, towing a heavy cart introduces side-to-side forces that can affect your chair's rear traction, especially on uneven grass.
- Attachment Point: Do not attach anything to the backrest or the seat frame, as this can alter the chair's centre of gravity and risk a tip-over. If you adapt a hitch, it should be mounted as low as possible, ideally onto the heavy-duty lower chassis or rear accessory bars where the weight is close to the ground.
Summary Verdict
If an able-bodied companion intends to pull it, this trolley is an excellent, compact choice for your gear.
If your primary goal is to tow it directly behind your Whill C2, this specific trolley will require custom DIY hitch modifications. If you want something easier to modify for a powerchair, you might want to look at a heavy-duty garden dump cart that features a traditional straight, rigid steel pull-tongue, as those handles can easily be converted into a pin-hitch setup.

Hello JWi,
Thank you for your inquiry regarding the Decathlon Folding Transport Cart (Quechua Camping Trolley).
The internal dimensions of the fabric basket, excluding the wheels, handle, and outer framework, are as follows:
- Internal Length: Approximately 70 cm
- Internal Width: Approximately 41 cm
- Internal Height/Depth: Approximately 27 to 28 cm
Please note that while the total external height is listed as 55 cm, this includes the clearance for the wheels and the steel framework. The internal fabric bucket sits higher off the ground, resulting in a useful internal depth of approximately 27 cm.
This provides a base internal volume of 84.6 liters. You can stack gear higher than the side walls by securing items with bungee cords through the integrated loops.
