Lame drying performance
I bought this a couple of weeks ago and have to say it is not very effective. This was to replace a previous DriBUDDI which ran on a 1200 kw heater. This heater is a tame 750 watt which takes longer to dry clothes and was purchased based on most 1200 kw heaters being discontinued. The overall design is poor and I hate the weak plastic legs which buckle when you put clothes into the dryer. The previous models were built of robust materials (metal) and were value for money. The only positive I can give this dryer is the quieter motor but this comes at a price for slow drying performance. All in all a pile of detritus which will be thrown away in a few months after it falls to pieces.

Dri-Buddie
Not what I expected. If the drier is loaded up to the maximum number of items of clothing suggested they don't dry, far too many. Also not really suitable for heavy clothes or trousers. I would suggest and going forward myself will only use it for light clothes and underwear and socks.

Easy to use and store
I bought this item in the last month for use during the inclement weather we experience over the winter months. A very practical indoor clothes dryer, especially for winter use, Compact, freestanding, and folds away easily. The only tip I can give it not to overload it.

Great item
This is my second dri buddie .the first one lasted 8 years .it was used daily .this one I brought is much better improved .on my previous dri buddie .the legs keep falling off when I moved it .this one stays in place .we use this daily .what I intend to do is put wet washing hanging over night .in morning i pop the cover over the washing switch on .all my washing is done .only thing I can’t dry is king size bedding .but pillow cases just pop onto a hanger and away I go .

Returned as wire too short to stand in kitchen
I returned this as the wire was too short. I measured and thought it would be ok but by the time it opened out I didn’t have room for it. I think they should have made it with a longer wire to stand in a kitchen area where plugs are usually up high!

Great product
Bought two of these and they are great, takes time to dry however it’s low wattage so it’s cheap to run and keeps all the damp air in one space

Thank you for using Argos Q&A
Hello Trev
JML DriBUDDI Compact Heated Airer
Indoor Use Recommended
The DriBUDDI is designed as an indoor heated airer, so using it in a garage is fine as long as the garage is dry and has a power supply.
Avoid damp or exposed areas because moisture can damage the unit or create electrical hazards. [jmldirect.com]
Impact of Cold Temperature
In a cold garage, drying will take longer because the surrounding air is cooler and less able to absorb moisture.
The airer itself generates warm air (850W heating element), but the ambient temperature still affects efficiency. [idealhome.co.uk]
Tips for Better Performance
Use the cover that comes with the DriBUDDI to trap heat and speed up drying.
Ensure the garage is ventilated to prevent condensation.
If possible, add a small heater or dehumidifier to improve drying speed in very cold conditions. [idealhome.co.uk]
Safety
Place the airer on a stable, flat surface away from water sources.
Do not use outdoors or in areas where rain or heavy moisture can reach it.
Thank you for using Q&A.

Hi Goolagon.
Re: JML DriBUDDI Compact Heated Airer
The motor of the Dri Buddi Compact is 850w.
The current electricity rate in the UK is approximately £0.26 per kWh subject to your energy provider costs.
To calculate the cost, multiply the wattage (850 watts) by the rate (0.26 pence per kWh) and then by the usage time in hours.
