The Habitat Sylas Extending Dining Table stretches from six to eight seats when you've got extra guests round for dinner. There's a central extension that slots in easily, no fuss or awkward lifting required. The bright white top and solid wood legs give it a clean, Scandinavian look that works with most dining room styles. It's sturdy enough for family meals and casual entertaining without taking up permanent space for seating you don't always need.
The melamine top wipes clean after meals and resists everyday marks and spills. Solid wood legs spread the weight evenly and keep everything stable when the table's fully extended. A very sturdy table
Very happy with the table, it’s practical, sturdy & quite suitable for a kitchen/diner. Easy clean melamine top and the oak coloured legs add some warmth. Slight problem in assembly as we discovered that the pre-drilled holes in the table top for the legs to attach had 3 without threads, so the bolts couldn’t get any purchase. We had to use 3 bolts instead of 4 to secure each leg. This hampered the assembly somewhat but it only took about an hour & half for my husband to complete it. A good price and it can seat 8 people comfortably without the extra leaf. Have dropped one star for the issue with the bolts. Otherwise very good.

Design fault in the table prevented assembly
We loved the table when our son bought one so we decided to get the same one. However there seems to be a design fault in the product. The holes underneath the table just don’t match to the holes in the sliding track to open the table. Therefore it doesn’t fit together. This is the second table that we returned with the same fault. We had to request a refund. Very disappointed.

"The tabletop is made of melamine, which is designed to be resistant to everyday stains. As such, marks from items such as cups or spills like red wine should not leave permanent stains on the surface under normal use."
