I can advise that the two frames can be pushed flush, however there will be a small gap between the mattresses. The combined width is more than a standard double, so a double sheet could not be used.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Habitat Chiltern Trundle Day Bed with 2 Mattresses - Oak: The mattress which this trundle currently comes with is 18cm depth.
This would be the maximum depth.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Habitat Chiltern Trundle Day Bed with 2 Mattresses - Oak: ''The trundle is around 20kg and the trundle will make up the size for the double so if removed will no longer be a double bed. But 2 singles, it is a separate frame so can be removed.''
