Great tool, great price.
Really useful tool at a great price. Nice case for storing it in. My only disappointment was that it only came with one size collet, restricting the size of drill bits you can use it with, unless you buy more.

Dremel: a good multi tool to have
I decided to buy Dremel 3000 multi tool for my hobby. I restore old typewriters. My sincere opinion: very handy! I see it as a micro drill, micro sander and polisher. I plan to buy only the bits I need and I always go gently at minimum speed, then I increase the speed if needed. A good result I saw from day one is how it is getting rid of surface rust on small metal parts! The tool itself looks well built. Dremel invented this kind of tools and now belongs to Bosch: two reasons why I chose this brand. Argos offered it at very good price. Thanks

Excellent tool and good value.
Dremel still make the best rotary tools out there. Make sure you use the right attachments or cutting discs for your job and there's not much it won't do. An essential tool in any DIY fans toolbox.

Good product, instructions could be better
Good product and works fine, but the instructions are not good. I had to revert to YouTube to fully understand and especially when a bit became stuck in the chuck, and just would not release…..

Hello Willow,
The Dremel 3000-15 Multi-Tool Kit can be used to drill into sea glass using the Silicon Carbide Grinding Stones (blue/green)
Tougher than aluminium oxide points, these are made especially for use on hard materials such as glass and ceramics.

Hello Safilou,
Dremel diamond cutter wheel can be used with the Dremel 3000 Rotary Multi Tool - 130W.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hi Alister
There is only one cutting tool for cutting wood, metal etc. You should always use the high speed when cutting wood and similar materials. and the other tools can be used for shaping once the cuts have been made.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello Shu,
I have spoken to our supplier who have advised as follows:
The Dremel 3000 is supplied with a collet that accepts accessories with a standard shank diameter of 3.2mm. To use accessories with a shank diameter smaller than 3.2mm would require the additional purchase of a corresponding collet or a Multi-Chuck.
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hi,
Thanks for your query about the Dremel 3000 Rotary Multi Tool - 130W.
You can use this to sharpen tools and blade edges but it doesn't come with the tool to do so in the box. This tool is available from the manufacturer directly though.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Natalina,
Yes, this can be used for wood carving. For delicate wood carving, slow speeds should be used and you would need to use the engraving cutters. See the manual for more details: https://documents.4rgos.it/v1/static/7114717_...
Thanks for using Q&A,
Yes it can, however, probably more so for the intricate carving and not for the purpose of cutting/slicing larger amounts of wood from the subject that you're working on. My only advice is, PLEASE use GENUINE Dremel tools/parts. The cheaper options from other suppliers are just awful, useless, and I can't post an absolutely true review because Argos don't like me using their company names in a product review. Soz!
