Excellent router with fantastic speed
I bought this to replace my sky broadband router , which , although working fine, I knew from many reviews has severe limitations in terms of performance. The ASUS gaming router had excellent reviews, not expensive in the realms of routers at just over £100 , so i thought i'd give it a go. Wow! my wireless download speed has increased from typically 60-80 Mbps to an incredible 480-510 Mbps!! Nothing else has changed. Installing it was simplicity itself with an app to guide you though , and no issues connecting and authenticating with sky. Very, very pleased. Dont let your broadband provider restrict your internet performance with poor equipment. Do yourself a favour and just buy this!

Excellent purchase
I bought this as and emergency replacement for my fibre BT home hub when it failed. I have to say that whilst it does look like an alien device and isn’t as subtle as the home hub, it more than makes up for it in other ways. It’s noticeably faster than the home hub, seems to have more range and has great app to control it. I’m so impressed with it that I won’t be swapping the BT replacement in. Excellent purchase

Great for BT full fibre
I bought this to replace a faulty BT router, it works with BT fibre to the home broadband, it took less than 5 minutes to set up, I am connected wirelessly to my desktop (router is in another room) I have 150mb fibre and even going through a VPN I still get 148mb download speed

Good but
Easy to setup, probably too many options in the setup menu for most people, distance the signal gets in very good even get a signal in the garden. Then the but, showing 2.4/5hhz signal but cannot see the 5g network so cannot connect to it, search this on the net and quite common issue. Emailed ASUS customer support not a great deal of help told me to disable smart connectivity, if still having issues that I should return it to the supplier which suggests to me this is a very common issue. Not made up my mind whether to return and go for the AX6000.

Hello Nikki,
I can advise the following for the ASUS TUF AX3000 Dual Band Wi-Fi 6 Gaming Router:
Yes, but you will need to have this connected to the Smart Hub 2 to allow you to connect it to the internet. Unless your internet is from Fibre and you have a ethernet cable from the wall box.
Thanks for using Q & A.

Hello Blad.
After contacting our suppliers they have advised for ASUS TUF AX3000 Dual Band Wi-Fi 6 Gaming Router.
I can confirm the TUF-AX3000 V2, Can be connected to a talk talk modem/router, customer can use the below steps
Use ASUS Router as the Main Router (Best for Control & Performance)
This method replaces the TalkTalk router with the ASUS router as your main router.
Steps:
Check Your TalkTalk Modem Type
If you have a TalkTalk modem-router combo, you'll need to put it in bridge mode (or turn off DHCP/Wi-Fi).
If you have a standalone TalkTalk modem, you can connect the ASUS router directly.
Connect the ASUS Router
Plug an Ethernet cable from the TalkTalk modem (LAN port 1) to the WAN (blue) port of your ASUS router.
Set Up ASUS Router
Power on the ASUS router and connect a device to it via Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
Open a web browser and go to 192.168.1.1 or router.asus.com.
Follow the setup wizard:
Select PPPoE (TalkTalk uses PPPoE for fiber connections).
Enter your TalkTalk broadband username & password (provided by TalkTalk).
Set up your Wi-Fi name and password.
Test the Connection
Reboot both the TalkTalk modem and ASUS router.
Check if your internet is working.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Alex,
I can advise the following for the ASUS TUF AX3000 Dual Band Wi-Fi 6 Gaming Router:
You would need to replace your Sky hub with this as this wouldn't boost the Sky signal. You can look at Wi-Fi repeaters to extend the signal from your Sky Hub.
Thanks for using Q&A.

This router is designed to provide strong and stable connections, thanks to its Wi-Fi 6 technology, which offers faster speeds and better performance in crowded environments.
Here are some key features that might be beneficial for your situation:
Dual-band connectivity: It operates on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, reducing interference and improving overall network performance.
Wi-Fi 6 technology: This ensures higher speeds, better efficiency, and the ability to handle more devices simultaneously.
Good coverage: With its four external antennas, it provides better reception and coverage, which is ideal for larger spaces.
Gaming features: While primarily designed for gaming, features like the dedicated gaming port and low latency can also benefit general internet usage.
