The compartment for the battery on the remote slides off.
This is the information I have located:
Q: How do I replace the battery?
Answer: Slide open the battery compartment cover on the back of the hand controller. Remove
the battery and replace the battery with a CR2032 3V battery. Ensure correct polarity for the
battery, (+ sign facing towards the battery compartment cover).

It's possible, but you will be limited to the fuse capacity. These can only support up to 13Amps.

Our supplier has advised the following for the Energenie 3 Pack of Remote Controlled Plugs -
A full reset of an adapter is the only way to clear a remote's pairing on the adapter. You will need to factory reset the adapter and then re-pair the remote[s] that you want it linked to. The adapters do not come pre-paired with the remotes they come with.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Energenie 3 Pack of Remote Controlled Plugs: The remote control sockets can be used with any appliance up to their 3kW maximum rating. Never use an extension cord, always plug the appliance directly in to the socket
