Instructions in booklet did not match to scanned qr code and made it very difficult to put up with instructions in booklet being so small and coded on screw packets not matching up but shed itself is good quality

Cheap materials. Wouldn’t really recommend
I bought this a few weeks ago. It looks the part but I don’t know how long it will last. It’s very flimsy. When I stood on the floor I thought I was going to fall through it. I’m hoping it will last a couple of years at least. Came with a few knots of wood out. So there were holes to fill. Tried to cancel but was told I couldn’t. Got it in the sale so got what I paid for I suppose. My joiner said it was easy to put up but he had to fix a things going along.

Get what you pay for.
Instructions were poor, panels were gappy and it’s not true so difficult to fit to base. Bought some different roofing felt as it was soo flimsy! Will see if it lasts the guarantee. I wanted to spend the extra o/h didn’t 🤷🏼♀️

Garden shed
We bought this shed about a month ago and are very pleased with the quality of the product. It was delivered on the day specified and also within the time slot. I think it is helpful to have someone who is good at DIY to assemble.

Not bad for the price
Bought this a few weeks ago as I needed a quick storage solution and was pleasantly surprised. I must admit I wasn't expecting much considering its overlap construction, but I've seen a lot worse in this price range. Everything fitted together well, and any knots haven't fallen out yet. However, I had to add more wooden battons around the plastic windows and the floor could do with reinforcing. Also, you only get enough roofing felt for two lengths, which doesn't provide much room for error. In short, if you're prepared to take a little time and effort to improve on it's shortcomings, then this seems to be a decent shed for the price. I used to work in a factory building shed panels, and some of the overlap sheds were atrocious.

Looks cheap and full of holes where eyes have fall
Not the best shed. Only bought as a temporary replacement (thankfully) the eyes in the wood on one side have all fallen out so we have approximately 6 x 2 inch holes on that side. Seems flimsy. If we weren’t planning a garage extension and workshop I would have sent back.

A good solid shed
I purchased this shed about 4 weeks ago and so pleased with it, it took us a good day to Build taking our time. I would say as a good solid garden shed this is ideal. My only suggestion is that the pre build instructions are at the front of the building manual instead of the at the back. Otherwise very happy with the purchase, it’s worth what I paid for.

Hi,
The "Mercia Wooden Overlap Apex Garden Shed - 7 x 5ft" is water resistant if treated annually. but you could cover the roof with water proof sheets to help prevent any water coming through.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello Gi,
The supplier has advised the Mercia Wooden 7 x 5ft Overlap Garden Shed is treated in a water based colouring for storage and transport.
As per the instructions and warranty it is recommended to apply a clear preservative (to protect the timber for rotting) and then apply a top coat for protection against weathering.
There are a number of birch grey paints (top coats) available.
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hi there
Having checked with the supplier for you I can let you know they say
"The base needs to be solid and level
If the customer was to place the building on wooden sleepers the building must be stable and flat"

The small print
All sheds need to be placed and secured on a base; this can be concrete, patio slabs or wood. Putting your shed directly on the ground wouldn't be safe and would decrease the lifespan of your shed.
