About this product
Combination alarm designed to provide protection from both smoke and CO in a single unit. As well as the audible alarm, it has a voice warning that tells you which danger has been detected. Voice warnings are particularly important as the combination of a high pitch alarm combined with a low pitch voice warning is more likely to wake up children. Front-loading battery compartment for ease and the alarm has an end of life warning.
This product is two products in one, being both a smoke detector and a carbon monoxide alarm.
This product is BSI certified to EN50291-1:2010 and EN14604:2005, CE tested, and is fully tested before leaving the factory.

This device does not contain ionising radiation. It is a combination alarm featuring a photoelectric smoke sensor and a carbon monoxide sensor, as we no longer produce ionization-based alarms.

Normal cooking may cause nuisance alarms. If a kitchen alarm is desired, it should be an interconnected heat alarm.

I have not yet put mine up, but I will not be screwing it into the ceiling. It comes with a back plate you can fix it to the wall so that it is safe, if you just put it on the shelf it could come down i You could try putting it on a shelf and see what happens. I hope that helps you.
