Easy to set up, good digital display.
Wanted an extra Carbon Monoxide monitor downstairs. Liked the fact it has a digital read out. The alarm is quite loud on testing , so hopefully, should it ever go off it will alert me to the problem. You have to replace the batteries every 1-2 years but that’s not a problem.

Must be working
Well I wouldn't say it's streamline as advertised but actually rather bulky, chunky. But I haven't succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning so it must be doing its job.

Hi Jane.
Kidde Digital Readout Carbon Monoxide Alarm:
Having checked the instructions. Pressing the test/reset button will terminate the alarm. If the CO condition that caused the alert in the first place continues, the alarm will reactivate. If the unit alarms again within six minutes, it is sensing high levels of CO which can quickly become a dangerous situation. The cause of the CO would either need to be rectified or the alarm removed away from the area, to stop it sounding.
Thank you for using Q&A.
According to CO2meter.com, 9 ppm is the maximum indoor safe carbon monoxide level over 8 hours, so registering at 11 seems a bit late ?

"The digital display shows readings between 11-999." So, no it does not show a reading of 1ppm.

Hi Swampye,
The alarm will start to beep when the batteries need replacing.
Thank you for contacting Q & A
Without reading the manual, can’t be sure but first port of call would be to change the battery. If it doesn’t work it may be at the end of its life or a fault. If in doubt, look on their website that might have more info on that model if you no longer have the instructions.
Hi,
I can confirm all of our items, and the warranties, are suitable for domestic use only.

Hi,
These should not be installed in bathrooms as condensation can penetrate the alarm, cause false alarms and also cause it to not work.
I hope this helps
Thanks for using Argos Q&A
Hello. I don’t think it is usually advisable to place a carbon monoxide alarm in humid environments where there is condensation like bathrooms and kitchens. So, in my opinion I would say no.
Dear Customer
The dimensions of our CO alarms are 118mm x 70mm 40mm, if you go to our website www.kiddesafetyeurope.co.uk you will find all the manuals for our different alarms, within the manual you will find the sizes of each of them.
I trust this will help
