About this product
Keep your children safe around the home. This Cuggl Extending Metal Wall Fix Safety Gate is versatile as it can be used for spaces measuring from 60-97cm wide. It fixes to the wall with screws which means there is no step over bar at the bottom. Adults can unlock it with one hand but there is a double locking feature to stop little ones opening it.
- If the safety barrier is used at the bottom of the stairs, it should be positioned at the front of the lowest tread possible. .
- The double-locking system is easy for an adult to operate and difficult for a child.
- Screw fit and firm installation, If the safety barrier is used at the top of the stairs, it should not be positioned below the top level. .
- The each bars width is around 55mm and there are 7 positions for extending. .

Cuggl stair gate
We brought this a few weeks ago nearly brought a non make but thought no we wanted it to be quality, this was an absolute nightmare to put together and not very sturdy at all . Would not recommend this stair gate at all.

ADEQUATE
Bought this adjustable gate due to slightly wide stairway. Metal gates (2 overlapping sections) and plastic securing brackets were fine and could be adjusted easily to the required width. However, the hinge mountings and locking fittings are of relatively cheap plastic, and I'm not sure how long they will last. The hinge pin at least should be of something sturdier, ideally metal. Instructions were ok. Verdict: Can't recommend, but if it's an only option (other models eg tension fitting, were not suitable), it will do.

Fairly sturdy though I would prefer the hinges to be metallic/basically metal! Thick plastic hinges means it only get four stars from me… But otherwise you get what you pay for I suppose. Good value otherwise.
