About this product
Keep your children safe around the home. This Cuggl Extending Metal Wall Fix Safety Gate is versatile as it can be used for spaces measuring from 60-97cm wide. It fixes to the wall with screws which means there is no step over bar at the bottom. Adults can unlock it with one hand but there is a double locking feature to stop little ones opening it.
- If the safety barrier is used at the bottom of the stairs, it should be positioned at the front of the lowest tread possible. .
- The double-locking system is easy for an adult to operate and difficult for a child.
- Screw fit and firm installation, If the safety barrier is used at the top of the stairs, it should not be positioned below the top level. .
- The each bars width is around 55mm and there are 7 positions for extending. .

Secure gate.
This is a good extendable gate which is protecting my little grandchildren at the top of the stairs. I would add that when screwing the two parts together I managed to strip the thread of the screws and was unable to remove them. This is something to be aware of - don’t fully tighten the screws until you are sure of your measurements.

Good gate instructions not great
Strong enough when assembled. Assembly instructions not great, a couple if decent drawings of the gate fitted in an opening will be useful to show how the adjustments are calculated and which gap to fix the central connector two. At the price its a winner. We bought two, first one hour and half to put up, second one 25minutes. So if only buying just one, take time to lay it out see how it works, check dimensions before starting, it is fairly easy.

Yes this gate can be used at the top of the stairs, provided it is an opening between 60 to 97cm in size. If the safety barrier is used at the top of the stairs, it should not be positioned below the top level.
