Peace of mind
I was torn between this cat flap and a cheaper alternative. I'm so pleased we bought this one as the app is very accurate and gives peace of mind that our cat can come and go as he pleases. Very satisfied so far

Item non-functioning
I have good faith in products from Sureflap and this was probably just unlucky as this pet door didn't work. I already own a petdoor with microchip functionality but wanted to upgrade to a 'connected' option. Unfortunately, when installing this item, I realised the door catches were not engaging to stop outgoing traffic. This was noticeable when inserting the batteries as there is a quick 'diagnostic' for the catches and the external ones didn't click open/closed. There was an audible double click from the frame of the door but the catches didn't move. Also when attempting to activate the lock through the app and also by using the manual lock/unlock button, nothing happened. Had to return the item for a full refund as there was no suitable replacement. I was also led to believe via (incorrect, as it turns out) info on the internet that this had an outgoing chip reader on it, but it doesn't. If Sureflap decide to make a DualScan Pet Door then I will try again.

Brilliant
It took a about 30 mins to get it all set up on my phone and to try and get our cat to go through it so it would register his chip but now it’s on its great and tells me when my cat is home so I can lock the cat flap from we’re ever I am

I cannot recommend this product enough everything about it is 5 stars. I love knowing if my car is inside or outside and always smile when I get a notification when she passes in and out of it accompanied by the cute little cat ‘miaow’. It’s the best pet product I’ve seen yet and a must for all cat owners.

Excellent Pet Door – Easy to Use and Monitor!
We couldn’t be happier with the SureFlap Microchip Pet Door Connect with Hub. The installation process was straightforward, and the app makes it simple to control and monitor. One of our cats started using it right away, while the other was a bit startled by the clicking sound at first but soon got used to it. We love being able to check which cat is outside at any given time, and the data provided in the app is a great bonus. Highly recommended!

App Control Cat Flap
Bought this as an upgrade from the previous model. The little screen on top of the cat flap hasn't changed and is still difficult to read but at least now, with the app control you don't have to get down on you knees to change the settings or look around for a torch to see what is on the screen. Plus with the app. you know when your cat is in or out as it tells when they have gone through the cat flap. Worth getting just so you don't have to keep getting down on your knees to change curfew times when the clocks change and the days get shorter or longer. Had difficulty at first with it picking up our cat's microchip but contacted Sure Pet Care and they gave us a fix and were very helpful and it works fine now, no problems.

It is very good
This is only very good if you can install the hub which needs to be attached to the router or internet repeater via an Ethernet lead close enough to the pet door. I love having notifications of when my cat is out or in, it’s so handy. I had problems at first but then moved everything nearer the pet door and it works a treat.

Got this because it was able to read dog's microchip instead of needing RFID collar tag and also WiFi features is great for checking dog's movements when at work. App is pretty good and setup is easy. Better value than other doors with same features.

2. The petdoor connect wall/door installation dimensions are: 207mm (W) x 234mm (H). For glass installation, a whole 300cm diameter is required.
3. The only item I can find in grey is Sureflap Cat Flap Glass Mounting Adaptor - Grey & White 336/3809
4. Yes, all SureFlap products can be installed into doors, walls and glass. Accessories may be required for installation and fits most PVC doors

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the SureFlap Microchip Pet Door Connect with Hub: ''The hub needs to be connected to the router all the time (an ethernet cable is included with the hub) and should be a maximum of 10 metres away from the SureFlap Connect. Please be aware that any electronic appliances or walls may cause an interference.
In these cases, where the connection is not stable, we would like to recommend an Ethernet over mains adapter. Otherwise we can advise a longer Ethernet cable.''
