Awkward and poor design.
Bought this for my Mother so she could use her Lawn mower. At first sight it looks reliable and easy to use but its anything but. Gets tangled when reeling back in everytime its used. I thought it must have been something my Mother was doing until I tried myself. . Not user.friendly at all . Complete waste of money. Buy something better and cheaper.

Really good extension cable
This extension is a manageable size and weight. The device holds four sockets and has a safety device fitted. The cable retracts easily and being a yellow colour and is clearly visible when in use. I have used it twice and found it excellent. The extension was offered at a good price and available for collection within two days.

perfect extention lead 25m
I brought this the 2nd time. I need this for connecting it to my solar system which is in the outbuilding. My son has now free electricity in his bedroom.

The flex, whilst undamaged, can be considered waterproof (although submersion in any significant depth of water would be inadvisable), the plug and sockets are definitely _not_ waterproof so will need to be protected from exposure to rain.

As long as you don't overload the reel there should't be a problem.
The reel has maximum load capacities listed on the rear (visible in the applicable picture on this listing) of:-
· 720W partially or fully coiled onto the drum (3A)
· 3,120W fully unwound (13A)

Most manufacturers of Mode 2 charging leads specifically forbid the use of an extension lead for safety reasons, so we would not disagree with any such advice.
It is also worth noting that the current regulations require that Mode 2 chargers be plugged into a socket which has specifically been tested and certified as safe to function under the abnormally high and long loads which these cause, and the sockets should be marked BS 1363-2/EV (although most manufacturers shorten this to BS 1363/EV).
We are not aware of any extension lead which has been tested or certified to this standard, so it is highly unlikely you will fond one suitable for safe use with a Mode 2 charging cable.
