About this product
No charging station at home? This cable plugs into any standard 3-pin socket and connects to Type 2 electric vehicles, so you can charge overnight wherever you've got access to mains power. The charging current switches between 6, 10 or 13 amps depending on what your car needs and how quickly you want it done. The LCD screen tells you how long it's been charging and how much power it's used, so you're not left guessing. Comes with a velcro-backed storage case that keeps it tidy in the boot and stops it rattling about.
This Ring charging cable works with Type 2 electric vehicles using any domestic UK 3-pin plug. Built-in short circuit protection helps keep things safe while charging. Adjustable current settings give you control over charging speed to suit your schedule.

Does the Job and great in a crisis.
Absolutely fab after moving home and no longer with a fixed wall charger, i found it hard to find places to charge car and many machines are out of order. This is perfect for overnight charge at a cheap rate and full charge is given on using full Amps setting, other settings are fine for top up miles but slower charge is given. Great to take anywhere just plug in.

Very good lead
Bought as an emergency cable due to home charger 3 weeks away and has done a very good job but is only a small car so it is perfect for us but have heard of others with bigger cars who also said it was good so no problems

Type 2 plug
The plug is the best thing I have bought for a long time. It's plugged in on timer in the garage and comes on between 12 and 5 am, on EDF evening tarrif it's really cheap to run, I would recommend this particular type 2 plug because of the options of 3 amp settings, it also as a timer on it. A good price from Argos.

Now I Can charge anywhere!!
This has been a lifesaver. It is so compact I’m able to take it with me wherever I go and charge on the go without having to worry about finding a charging point. It’s easy to use and easier to put away and carry with me. The cord is long so it’s great as I don’t have an outside plug so I’m able to charge on the street. It’s not as bulky as I thought it would be either which helps massively for storing it. It’s a quicker charge than I thought and the screen is well lit and provides key information. Definitely would recommend especially if you go on journeys to other towns where you’re unsure about charging points!

Good accessory
Nice sturdy storage bag with Velcro on the back to prevent sliding in the boot. 1 button to change between the 3 settings available (3A, 10A and 13A), the selected will be illuminated green and there is a green strip light to indicate charging. Nice feel and build quality, this is an excellent accessory to have for use when travelling or when no public charging point available, would recommend!

Love knowing how much juice I've used
I've used this to charge my Leaf using the 10amp option. It shows how much electricity you use, in kilowatts, so if it's someone else's socket you can offer them the correct money. The cable seems very sturdy and it's waterproof. The case is handy as it keeps the cable tidy in the boot.

Portable electric car charger
Well tbh I was I little bit sceptical about this to start with BUT wow its actually an amazing bit if kit. Never needed it at home but when I visited family its was just perfect. No need to find a charging port at a supermarket and leave my car for hours as I could just plug in at my family's. Really well packaged with a nice carry case also it's a nice size and not bulky. Honestly would recommend this to anyone as its just perfect especially when your away from home
