Ebac4650 dehumidifier
This dehumidifier was bought for my son, he cannot believe how much water it collects, its sturdy, worth every penny, he lives in an adapted flat and it used to smell damp but since using this dehumidifier the smells completely gone, he has noticed the air feels better in the morning, he would recommend this to anyone who is after a good reliable dehumidifier, he's not downloaded the app yet but in time he will.

Good bit of kit.
Bought this to replace an old dehumidifier that had packed in....it was 20 years old ! I did a bit of research before buying but did want to support British manufacturing therefore I had only one choice. Quite pleased with the purchase and it's performance as we live in an old property with high ceilings,solid walls with it's fair share of damp. A bit surprised at the amount of water in tank after a session in Smart control, a very good click and forget feature which does all the work. Evidently, I can download the app thingy to control things but might not bother.

More eexpensive but British and works well
Bought into the Ebac ‘buy British’ sell as this unit is significantly more expensive than plenty of other similar products online. We needed a dehumidifier quickly following a water leak and as Ebac would take perhaps some days to deliver direct ordered from Argos late afternoon and was able to collect the unit early the next day. This was ideal. The unit was easy to set up and can be monitored and controlled by phone using the app. Quite amazing how much water it draws from a room. So far, so good. It’s been running continuously now for several weeks and behaving perfectly. Bought the castor kit separately from Ebac as it might be a little heavy to move around for some.

Bought this to replace a Meaco Arete that packed up after only two years' use, so I decided to switch to EBAC mainly due to the Four-year warranty. On using the EBAC, it was immediately noticeable how quieter the machine is compared to the Arete; it is also lighter and more compact.

Just gets better!
Having worked a previous model of the Ebac very hard over many years with great service, it was only natural I'd buy this replacement. It now has a display of the relative humidity and can be targeted to get to a specific level. The filter is much easier to replace. Very pleased with it!

Having checked the instructions for the Ebac 4650e 18Litre Dehumidifier, it advises:
Ebac would always recommend plugging the appliance directly into the mains where possible however, an extension lead may be used if required. The extension lead should be rated at the correct current for the appliance, fuse protected and electrically safe. The extension must not be overloaded.

Regarding the Ebac 4650e 18Litre Dehumidifier. Each property is different so it would be difficult to give you an exact reading, however we do advise that the average should be 45 - 55, the humidity can be set on the 4000 series.

Yes, they can be placed against a wall, however, there must still be a small gap though so the air can get through to the filter.

This is the 3rd Ebac I had over the years and its defo got a bearing in the fan warring. its as noisy on low as it is on high. Never had one makes that loud noise before. It sounds like its old and warn out
Its when the machine is on lower speed its noisy now when it was fine now a winning noise on low speed

The supplier has advised the following for the Ebac 4650e 18Litre Dehumidifier:
"Some of our machines do have an air cleaning mode but it simply draws in the air through the filter so it is not actually an air cleaner or purifier. Our Dehumidifiers do not purify the air, but the filter on the back will help to remove bacteria and germs. We do recommend that the filters are lightly vacuumed regularly and changed every 3 - 4 months."
