Reviews here with constructive remarks truly helped my decision about this product, I therefore wish to add: Ordered and picked up this Ebac 4650 18 Litre Dehumidifier from Argos, Ashton under Lyne Snipe Retail Park, Manchester, Fri 28 Nov. 2025. Product was bought to help with perennial condensation in my property. I READ PROPERLY & OPERATE THE DEHUMIDIFIER AS INSTRUCTED. From 28 Nov. till today, I turn on the dehumidifier about 3:45pm – 4:00pm when my kids are back from school, it stays on all night & is turned off about 8:00am. From day 1 of purchase till date, the water tank consistently gets filled up every morning so that sometimes the machine auto-switches off as stated. It perfectly pulls moisture, & therefore a big win against damp/mold. It is on the corridor upstairs between 2 bedrooms & is even closer to the children’s room and the sound appears nonexistent & has never been an issue to anyone in the house in any way. Very happy with this amazing machine.

Draws out a lot of water each day.
Bought a month ago. Certainly draws the water out! Have it on the landing of a three bedroom house. Have to empty it daily at the moment. The app tells me when! Had one blip when the container was full and it didn't shut down, so had a very wet floor. Luckily it was easily mopped up. Hasn't happened again. Not overly noisy but does have a timer on it so can shut it down overnight.

Washing dries much faster
It certainly does the job of pulling moisture out of the air and my washing dries in half the time. The windows have far less condensation too. However it is louder than I thought and certainly louder than the ‘fridge’ hum that the company suggests so just bear that in mind. It has also developed an annoying whine so we are considering getting it exchanged because we don’t know if this is normal.

Powerful little dehumidifier
I bought this after my roof was badly damaged in our recent storm. I was without roof covering for a week as the heavens opened and the upstairs of my home was waterlogged, floors, walls and furniture waterlogged and this dehumidifier has been amazing, the damage has been too bad to fix but it’s dried off the walls and taken the damp feeling away AND dried my washing! So happy. Highly recommend. Well done Argos, always my go to, always got what I need

Ebac4650 dehumidifier
This dehumidifier was bought for my son, he cannot believe how much water it collects, its sturdy, worth every penny, he lives in an adapted flat and it used to smell damp but since using this dehumidifier the smells completely gone, he has noticed the air feels better in the morning, he would recommend this to anyone who is after a good reliable dehumidifier, he's not downloaded the app yet but in time he will.

Having checked the instructions for the Ebac 4650e 18Litre Dehumidifier, it advises:
Ebac would always recommend plugging the appliance directly into the mains where possible however, an extension lead may be used if required. The extension lead should be rated at the correct current for the appliance, fuse protected and electrically safe. The extension must not be overloaded.

Regarding the Ebac 4650e 18Litre Dehumidifier. Each property is different so it would be difficult to give you an exact reading, however we do advise that the average should be 45 - 55, the humidity can be set on the 4000 series.

Yes, they can be placed against a wall, however, there must still be a small gap though so the air can get through to the filter.

This is the 3rd Ebac I had over the years and its defo got a bearing in the fan warring. its as noisy on low as it is on high. Never had one makes that loud noise before. It sounds like its old and warn out
Its when the machine is on lower speed its noisy now when it was fine now a winning noise on low speed
