Mmm got mixed thoughts about this iron - quite lightweight & works well on hottest temperature but I find it doesn’t do a good job when using lower temperatures. Also as in other reviews because it is black in colour it is extremely difficult to see where the water line is! Overall not great

Fabulous iron
This iron is the best I have ever owned. It glides easily over my garments. I love the colour system. It’s not too heavy & has a good grip. I like the long cord & the fact the cord swivels for easy ironing. The steam is very good. However I do agree with others in that you can’t see the water level.

Highly recommend this iron, it looks smart, is lightweight (poorly shoulder), heats up quickly, had a good length of flex and irons like a dream. Especially like the coloured light system for different temperature settings, easy to use and effective. The water level is difficult to see but you soon get used to gauging how much water you want. Well worth a few extra pounds for this superior product

Easy to use
This is the third Colour Control iron from Russell Hobbs that I have bought. I like the easy way to see the temperature and it's easy to use. However, my last one started smoking after just over two years and I didn't register for the additional year's warranty, so I am hoping this one will last much longer (I iron for about 2-3 hours every week) and I have registered for the extra year's warranty just in case! I would also say that the flex is shorter than my last one which is a wee bit annoying.

Great replacement for my previous iron, heats up quickly, good range of push button settings, steam chamber lasts for ages, very smooth to use. Only negative is its difficult to see water level due to dark colour iof water chamber otherwise would be 5 star

Having checked the instructions, the Iron can be filled with tap water. It is advised, if you live in a hard water area, you should use distilled water (not chemically descaled or softened water).

I didnt find the beep a problem..its a very quiet beep and only does one beep when temperature is reached. I cant see how it would annoy anyone.
