The ceramic soleplate glides smoothly across fabrics, while the 350g steam shot tackles stubborn wrinkles in everything from delicate synthetics to heavy linens.
The detachable 1.8 L water tank can be refilled during use for uninterrupted ironing, with a dry tank alert to prevent running empty. Features include auto shut-off, anti-drip, and fabric presets. Complete with a 3-year manufacturer's guarantee when registered.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Russell Hobbs Quiet Steam Generator Iron 24470: ''The 24470 Quiet Super Steam Generator Blue should NOT be descaled as it is already equipped with an anti scale cartridge.
You should perform the after use and maintenance steps from the manual on pages 5 and 6 as frequently as possible. Please change the anti scale cartridge regularly too.''

I returned iron without using as it needed cartridges. I did read the booklet and it was quite clear on how to get new cartridges, etc. Sorry Unable to help more
