About this product
The Gtech AirRam 2 K9 is a cordless upright designed specifically for homes with pets, and it's seriously light at just over 3kg. The AirLOC system picks up fine dust, larger debris, and pet hair with ease, and the powerful motorised brushbar drives right into carpets to lift stubborn dirt. It runs for up to 40 minutes on a full charge, which takes a few hours, and there's a low battery indicator so you won't get caught out halfway through. The dust bin is a good size for pet owners, and the clean eject system means you can empty it without getting your hands dirty.
The sweet-smelling filter tabs tackle pet odours, and the washable filter means you're not constantly buying replacements. The aluminium components handle tougher cleaning jobs without wearing down, and the motorised floorhead works brilliantly across carpets, deep pile, wool, hard floors, laminate and upholstery. It's got plenty of power for everyday messes and pet hair, and it's easy to manoeuvre around furniture and tight spots. The whole thing stores away neatly without taking up too much room.

Gtech v Shark
I usualy buy shark hoovers but decided to try Gtech for a change. In my honest opinion this hoover has great suction on carpets but makes a loud noise when pulling back on laminate flooring. Its heavier and doesnt get into small spaces. It doesnt come with tools unlike shark which converts to hand held for stairs ect. If am honest I prefer Shark.

Excellent Cleaning
This is my second machine. The first has done about 10 years and now the front roller is seized and I can’t get it out. I have only used the new on a couple of times but the fact that I have bought the same again speaks a lot. We have a cleaner who insists on using Henry and then I tidy up - especially the dog hair- in between. Our cleaner is excellent but I have found that if I have to tidy up not long after Henry has done his best, I still get a full load of hair and sand up. I think the cleaning power is unbeatable

The battery can be charged whilst it’s in the AirRam, or when it’s off the product. You will need to plug the charger into the mains and connect it to the battery. The battery can be charged from flat in
4 hours. This vacuum is not wall mounted.

I am sorry it would be difficult to say how hard or easy the Vacuum would be on a shagpile carpet. This would be down to the individual. It is suitable for deep pile carpet.

"The AirRam is predominately a floor vacuum that does not come with attachments. However, we do sell a Speed Cleaning Kit which includes a smaller handle. This can be attached to the vacuum to turn it into a handheld upholstery cleaner that would be ideal for cleaning stairs."

Not really good for stairs but the hand held G Tech is brilliant on stairs. The upright one is too big & hard to manoeuvre to the edges.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised: I can confirm that you can vacuum a mattress with this vacuum, however we do suggest to use the Speed Cleaning Kit as this has enables the vacuum to be converted to a hand-held device. The Speed Cleaning Kit can be purchased from the Gtech website.
