About this product
The Gtech AirRam 2 K9 is a cordless upright designed specifically for homes with pets, and it's seriously light at just over 3kg. The AirLOC system picks up fine dust, larger debris, and pet hair with ease, and the powerful motorised brushbar drives right into carpets to lift stubborn dirt. It runs for up to 40 minutes on a full charge, which takes a few hours, and there's a low battery indicator so you won't get caught out halfway through. The dust bin is a good size for pet owners, and the clean eject system means you can empty it without getting your hands dirty.
The sweet-smelling filter tabs tackle pet odours, and the washable filter means you're not constantly buying replacements. The aluminium components handle tougher cleaning jobs without wearing down, and the motorised floorhead works brilliantly across carpets, deep pile, wool, hard floors, laminate and upholstery. It's got plenty of power for everyday messes and pet hair, and it's easy to manoeuvre around furniture and tight spots. The whole thing stores away neatly without taking up too much room.

Customers Say
Lightweight, powerful suction, and great for pet hair. Easy to use and empty. Some find it noisy, bulky, or difficult to empty. Battery life and handle stability vary in reviews.

Handle and pole too unstable for a disabled person
Regretably ordered, assembled but didnt switch on. Handle was too wobblily, not stable/strong enough to enable the person to move the base. He thought it would break if he used it. Sadly sent back.

My AirRam2 K9
Really delighted with the AirRam2 K9, lightweight but robust, and has a ton of power which picks up everything it hovers over. Stylish looking, and does not take up a lot of space. Typical GTech reliability and does what it says on the tin.

Great product
I’ve had one of the original GTechs for years. It finally gave up the ghost so I invested in a new one as it was on a great offer from GTech. Brilliant little machine. So handy to whizz round the floors.

Hi,
The battery can be charged whilst it’s in the AirRam, or when it’s off the product. You will need to plug the charger into the mains and connect it to the battery. The battery can be charged from flat in
4 hours. This vacuum is not wall mounted.

Hi Wilma,
Gtech AirRam 2 K9 Cordless Upright Vacuum Cleaner,
I am sorry it would be difficult to say how hard or easy the Vacuum would be on a shagpile carpet. This would be down to the individual. It is suitable for deep pile carpet.
Thank you for using Q and A.

Hello Mandy,
The supplier has advised the following for the Gtech MK2 K9 AirRam Cordless Upright Vacuum Cleaner:
"The AirRam is predominately a floor vacuum that does not come with attachments. However, we do sell a Speed Cleaning Kit which includes a smaller handle. This can be attached to the vacuum to turn it into a handheld upholstery cleaner that would be ideal for cleaning stairs."
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Not really good for stairs but the hand held G Tech is brilliant on stairs. The upright one is too big & hard to manoeuvre to the edges.
Hello Queenie65,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised: I can confirm that you can vacuum a mattress with this vacuum, however we do suggest to use the Speed Cleaning Kit as this has enables the vacuum to be converted to a hand-held device. The Speed Cleaning Kit can be purchased from the Gtech website.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for using Q&A.
No, it's struggles to clean the floor.
Hi there
