Bella Vita Bath Lift
Although it did lower you into the bath successfully, as you have to give the seat enough clearance to extend backwards, I had insufficient room to extend my legs fully. I am only 5ft 6 and have a normal sized bath. Also it’s not like having a soak in a normal bath as the water wouldn’t cover the upper part of your body. The back rest is reclined at a strange, very unnatural angle and I wouldn’t have been able to use it. I was disappointed with this item and returned it as it was unsuitable.

Just the job
Purchased this for my 89 year old father, when his previous bath hoist no longer worked. The product is sturdy and easy to use. He says he feels safe when he uses it. The only downside is, because of the shape of his bath it needs to be positioned a little further forward and he can’t stretch his legs out, but that’s more the design of the bath.

Superb lightweight bath lift.
After hip and foot operations my wife's mobility was not good, getting in and out of the bath was a " joint operation". I searched through Argos on line and came across this excellent easy to assemble and use bath lift at a very affordable price. I ordered on line (Saturday) and collected it the next day (yes, Sunday 11.0am). well done Argos we are very pleased with this purchase. Thank You.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Drive Medical BellaVita Bath Lift:
To recharge the battery on the hand control firstly place the plug of the charger into the socket of the cable attached to the hand control. During the charging process, the red light will be on. The light changes to green once the battery is fully charged. Once fully charged please disconnect the charger from the hand control.

“ This should help the customer decipher if it will fit their bath or not.
There are 3 different sizes of side flaps available, so the customer would need to decide which option would be best for them:
460900227 - 21cm side flap width / 80cm overall width (bathlift included)
460900228 - 23.5cm side flap width / 85cm overall width (bathlift included)
460900229 - 26cm side flap width / 90cm overall width (bathlift included)
Please note we do recommend that the side flap protectors are also used so that the flaps will not catch on any bath handles. ”

Having checked I can see the battery is lithium-ion. If a replacement is needed I would advise to contact the manufacturer directly as only original parts can be used on this lift.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Drive Medical BellaVita Bath Lift: ''Our technical team have advised that a sunken bath is no problem but some sunken baths have handles fitted so the user would need to make sure that they fitted the protectors included.
Also, a deep bath should not be a problem but the bathlift may be of limited use if the bath is significantly taller than the height range of the bath lift.''
They also add the following info too:
"The sturdy adjustable-height frame allows raising and lowering from 6.5 to 48 cm in height. When the up/down buttons are pressed, the lifting rod raises/lowers the seat surface."
