About this product
This YardMaster 6 x 4ft metal shed is perfect for general storage in your garden or back yard. The tall end gables mean there's excellent standing room inside (188cm max internal height) as well as extra storage space. 2 sliding doors give you easy access to your contents, wide enough when both open (80cm) to take a bike or lawnmower. Slots along the eaves ensure your shed is always well ventilated. In classic cottage green with a subtle eggshell finish, this shed blends perfectly into any garden setting and will look great for years to come.
Metal sheds don't come with a floor. They should be built directly onto a strong, level base such as concrete, paving slabs or tarmac, then anchored to it using the anchor fixings provided. This base is the floor of your shed. The anchor points are pre-drilled for your ease. Using these is an integral part of the shed's stability. This base is not supplied. An anchor kit is included.
Do not place directly onto a base of grass, earth, sand etc. As natural movement will affect the stability, reduce lifespan and cause the doors to warp. 2 people are required for assembly and we strongly recommend you use thick gloves when assembling the panels.
Once built, this YardMaster shed requires zero maintenance or further treatments. Its hot dipped galvanised steel construction makes it durable and weather resistant. This means you'll never have to paint it or worry about rot or rust. It comes with a 15-year UK manufacturer's anti-rust guarantee.

6' x 4' metal shed
Needed two people and around 5 hours to put the shed up. The doors are very flimsy and don't slide very well on the runners. But that didn't bother me as I was going to have to convert the doors to hinged anyway as I needed a wider opening. Condensation does build up on the inside of the roof, so I am having it insulated with foam boards as I will be keeping my mobility scooter in it. For the price in the sale and seeing as you don't have to treat it each year as you would a wooden shed, I'd recommend it.

Good
Does the job, and is quite sturdy. The instructions were a little unclear at times, but otherwise it was fairly easy to do. I did most of it myself with some help from my partner to lift the roof on.

An absolute nightmare to assemble
An absolute nightmare to assemble. A piece I thought I was missing from my package turned out to be a typo in the instruction manual. (I had this confirmed by customer services who took two days to reply). The instruction manual itself has no instructions. Just pictures you have to figure out for yourself, with labelled/mislabeled pieces. The fist 6 pages are pictures of various assembled pieces of the roof structure, base etc. You would assume these would be after the assembly of those parts. Very confusing. screw holes don't align, some are too large for the screws required. I had to double check to see if I was doing something wrong but it seems the pieces are pre-fabricated and don't take opposite corners into consideration. I had to improvise and reinforce the structure with plastic brackets for the screws to fit properly. Once assembled the overall structure is reasonably rigid.

Good value but tricky to assemble!
The internet said, 2 men 4hrs, well I'm an engineer and it took us FIVE hours!!! It's well designed, no leaks but the door sliders are rubbish, even after applying loads of grease the doors still judder and jam, fitting a pair of handles higher up really helps!

Decent shed, not so decent instructions
Love the shed, the assembly was tricky in places especially the door frame assembly. Take your time and double check the diagrams, ensure the two long metal pieces left and right door frame have the trough facing inside as the door interlocks with this when closing

The small print
All sheds need to be placed and secured on a base; this can be concrete, patio slabs or wood. Putting your shed directly on the ground wouldn't be safe and would decrease the lifespan of your shed.
