The pole is extendable. There are 3 sections. For up to 1.1m use pole A only, for between 1.1m and 2m use pole A and B and for between 2-3m use pole B and 2 pole A's.

Argos Home Steel Extendable Curtain Pole - 110cm - 300cm:
The curtain rail has two or three brackets, depending on the length. Up to 1.1m, is supplied with 2 brackets, over 1.1mm, 3.
The brackets have small screws in the back, that tighten in to the rod, that will hold it in place and stop it being lengthened or shortened by mistake.

The Argos Home Extendable Metal Ball Curtain Pole - S Steel measures 110cm and can be extended up to 300cm. This is just the pole not the finials.
