PetSafe ScoopFree Replacement Blue Crystal Litter
We have a plastic re-useable tray we line with Puppy liners and B&M crystals which is far more cost effective, but sometimes the liner gets caught in the metal teeth and we need to sort it out. The disposable trays are handy for when we are away and have house sitters as they dont need to deal with anything other than a little love food and water, but its expensive to use these regularly.

FLAWS FOR PAWS
I did not buy the outer machine for this, I only bought the refill tray as they say not to use the big machine for a kitten. So the refill tray has a cardboard lid at the end which if you were using the machine, rakes the poo by lifting the plastic flap that covers it (which we obviously did not have) and underneath it raises the cardboard flap and the poo is stored there for 30 days. Firstly it's not a big channel to store the waste and secondly yes we did not use the machine (so they will say it would smell a lot less but the machine purely is a plastic lid (like a bin lid) which isn't going to be smell proof completely. After 6 days of using it with the kitten and poop scooping myself the poo the smell starting wafting out from under the carboard flap. The problem is the cardboard starts to smell there is no getting around this. All the reviews were great but once I realised there were design flaws for this I looked into the Q&A section where people were saying the same (they probably had the whole machine) and that it stinks! Why would anyone pay £36.00 for something that lasts 6 days??? The concept is good (but you can rake it yourself so it's a lot of money to pay for something you can do in two seconds flat!). So I think it's a poor product for what it costs. However, I have since purchased the cystals from the supplier and use them in my own plastic litter box which is much more succesful. The crystals do help with the smell but I have to poop scoop every day and hopefully it will last a lot longer and the crystals are half the price! You can leave it but it will smell so no different to the machine which costs a LOT of money. Think its a good idea but not worth the very heavy hefty price. When I phoned the supplier they said you might have to poop scoop a bit to stop the smell but that is not MENTIONED on the ENTIRE BOX OR description. If I knew I had to poop scoop I would use ordinary litter and do it myself!

Too expensive
Compared to Amazon, this is far too expensive. Only purchased because of Amazon delivery issues.

Easy to use
litter tray cleaning is so much easier with this product and the tray itself lasts a long time before you have to replace it.

Amazing product, and incredible quality.
Bought this product last month was I am completely satisfied with my purchase. I love the quality, of this silica gel that works well with the raking mechanism of an automatic litter tray, to give you an effortlessly, hands-off litter cleaning solution. The litter itself is low-dust, offers good odor control, and doesn’t stick to cat’s paws.

Hello Em,
The supplier has advised the following for the PetSafe ScoopFree Replacement Blue Crystal Litter Tray:
“ We do recommend our blue crystal litter to be used only with our litter but it is possible to use the crystal litter in another litter of course. ”
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi there,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the PetSafe ScoopFree Replacement Blue Crystal Litter Tray: I can confirm one tray is included.
Hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q & A
Hello Himani. This PetSafe ScoopFree Replacement Blue Crystal Litter Tray is a replacement only if you want the litter box then this is catalogue number 127/5717 which is the Petsafe Scoopfree Covered Self Clean Litter Box.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello ally,
Our supplier has advised: ''The cardboard is not ‘waterproof’ in the true sense of the word, you cannot put it in water and it will stay intact.
However the internal part of the tray is lined with a protected sheeting to hold the crystals and any damp or excess urine from the tray, it is designed not to let any moisture or wet out of the tray within the month of the life of the tray''.
Thank you for using Argos Q and A.
Hi,
I have checked for you and No you do not refill the trays, the point of the trays is that they are one time only use and then throw the full tray away.
To get the best use of the tray once a week use a cat scoop to rake the dry crystals from the side of the tray and mix them all around.
This will prolong the use of the trays.
I hope this helps you.
Thank you for your question.
I have 2 cats and it lasts me 8-9 days max. No way it can last up to 30 days even with one cat!
My kitten is 9 months old, iv'e had it 2 weeks and it already needs changing. The thought of not changing it for 30 days makes me feel sick.
Hello
Hi, it lasts up to 30 days depending on how many cats are using it.
I hope this helps :-)
