Very good sound quality for CD's and Cassettes. The radio is probably fine in areas where there is good reception. but less reliable if it isn't. Neat shape, compact and portable.

I bought this for use in the garden and am very happy with the purchase especially at the price. The sound is fine and doesn't distort when the volume is turned up and is relatively easy to use. In saying all of that I have only used it in to play CDs.

I’m so glad I purchased my cd/radio/cassette player from Argos….great value for money and I get to play all my old favourites from 70’s, 80’ and 00’s I wasn’t so keen on 90’s music. I get to play them every day.

Perfect sound / Value for money
I bought this to replace my identical Bush Boombox, which unfortunately was in need of repair to the cassette player mechanism - although the CD and radio player parts were fine. As I had a number of home made music cassettes I wanted to continue playing, I decided to purchase a new Boombox instead of paying for the cost of repair which may have been more than it was worth. I haven't yet taken it out of its box, but going on my old one I find the sound quality excellent. To get the perfect FM radio reception you have to adjust the position of the telescopic aerial which can be a bit infuriating. The CD player is easy to operate and has repeat and programming options that can be used. The cassette player, until it became unplayable, was playing perfectly and the output was very good. Overall the unit was definitely value for money at just £30.

Apologies for any confusion, Pam was having a bad day. Its correct this product has an AUX-IN socket, however, this is an INPUT for connecting external audio sources. Unfortunately, there is no Headphone Audio OUTPUT socket. Therefore the correct answer is NO, you cannot use headphones with this product.

The Bush CD Radio Cassette Boombox has a 3.5mm aux in port. You will need a standard 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to connect an external device to the boombox's "Line in" or "Aux in" socket.
