Good unless you want to record!
Bought in advance (having searched and only found ONE 'recorder' listed at Argos) to record a critical telephone call. Discovered too late that it has no microphone to do what was required. It will only record from its own radio or CD player. Otherwise, a nice little bit of kit, if limited.

It's quite good.
It's quite good.The good bits are the sound which is very clear. It's portable which is handy. And the reception is good. The cassette is a plus. Again they do sound good, but with cassettes depending on age etc, they can chew up. Overall though good.

Handy little player
I bought this mainly for the cassette player, as I have a number of cassettes that I haven't been able to play for a number of years. Plus it's handy to have the option to play CDs & listen to the radio as well, all on a small & portable model that I can move around the house, depending on what l'm doing while listening. The radio reception is excellent. The sound generally is quite tinny, which is my only reason for not giving it 5 stars. But it came at such a reasonable price that this seems like a minor quibble!

A CD, cassette and radio all in one.
Some people cannot escape the analogue era and my wife uses a CD player with cassette player to listen to such boring stories that she falls asleep at night. Such combined players are becoming rare as the world migrates to mp3 and streaming services but we still have a VCR (not used for some time) and a new DVD player. The Bush player is excellent and (with batteries) entirely portable. Long may they continue to be produced.

The supplier has advised for the Bush CD Player Boombox with FM Radio Cassette Recorder:
1. Press the CD PLAY/PAUSE button. The Play/Program Indicator will light and the CD will
start playing from the first track.
2. Adjust the Volume control to obtain the desired sound level from the Built-in Speakers.
3. To suspend playing, press the CD PLAY/PAUSE button and the track no. of the playback
track will flash.
To resume playing, press the CD PLAY/PAUSE button again.
4. You can choose to play your favorite track directly by pressing either the Skip Forward
button or Skip Backward button. The LED Display will indicate the correct track number
selected.
5. To locate a particular passage within a track, keep the CD Search Forward button or CD
Search Backward button depressed until it is found.
6. To repeat a particular track, press the CD Repeat button until the CD Repeat Indicator
flashes.
To repeat the entire CD, press the CD Repeat button again until the CD Repeat Indicator
lights steadily.
To repeat off, press the CD Repeat button again until the CD Repeat Indicator disappear.
