Fits the bill
Accurate description of product. Good instructions on how to use correctly. If the instruction are followed then the product works well. This works much much better than a more fancy digital type detector bought previously.

Bought this to help my brother out in his new house so that he didnt blow-up or drown himself. It was very hit and miss when being used so we didnt realy trust it. A number of times it said that the whole wall was solid metal or maybe this is some funky force filed detection..... Its hard to compare against another product but we ended up returning it. Bit of a shame as Bosch tools are normally ok

Not worth the money
Hi bought this as I needed to drill through wall for a cat flap for customer. Said there were no electrical cables or pipes. Turns out it was wrong. Accidentally went to l through a cable. Compete waste of money!

Bought to replace cheap one that didn't work
I initially bought one from another brand that was cheaper, that didn't work and needed to drill into a wall I knew had pipes in. Worked well, but it is quite sensitive, so alerts quite a wide area around the pipe, when it shows yellow you are near but not on, so was still a little nervy, just avoided the areas that the light was red.

This detector can identify ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, and live cables beneath surfaces. However, it does not mention floorboards specifically, and its effectiveness depends on the type of pipe you are trying to detect. It can detect metal pipes (such as copper or steel) and pipes with live cables up to certain depths (70 mm for metal, 50 mm for live cables), but it will not detect plastic pipes.

Yes, the Bosch Truvo Electrical Detector is designed to detect both metal pipes and live electrical cables behind plasterboard on a stud wall. It can detect live wires up to a depth of 50 mm and metal objects up to 70 mm deep.

I think the Argos answer should say 60mm max depth, not 6mm
