Dogs that can jump or climb need a taller barrier, and finding the right fit for wider doorways takes adjustments. This Extra Tall Pet Gate Extension Pack helps extend your existing Pet Safety Gate (sold separately) up to 96cm using pressure fit installation and wall cups that screw into position for extra stability. Suitable for medium to large dogs, the pack includes 2 7cm extensions to customise the width and works with the 110cm tall gate design.
The pressure fit system holds without drilling into door frames but wall cups must be installed for secure fixing, which matters for determined dogs. Double locking prevents accidental openings during busy household moments. The step-over bar keeps the gate in place while the wide walk-through section allows easy access when you need to move between rooms. Self-assembly means you can adjust and reinstall as needed.

Good but a little untidy
I can’t get this completely flush but it works well. I was able to use it without one of the bars so my cats can get through but my dog can’t.

Good for extra wide space
We bought this with two added extensions to fit an extra wide hall. Fitted well and was high enough to stop kittens reaching main door. After two weeks one had worked out how to climb over, using the radiator. However it still works well as long as you keep an eye on cats when door is opened. It definitely helps with safety for indoor cats.

Easy to assemble
Bought this for the extra tall pet gate. Fits perfect is sturdy and easy to install. No problems with this product. Thumbs up!

Returned as they were not needed
Bought these as I was not confident about the information on the Argos site about the doorway size that the associated gate would fit. The gate fitted the doorway which was a bit larger than the doorway size specified on the Argos site. Can’t say if they are good or bad - hence the three star evaluation.

Item is of good quality and sturdy. It is also tall so it is excellent for larger dogs. Easy to install and comes with sticky pads or screws to fix it more securely if required

Excellent fitting
So pleased they sell these along with the gate I needed. Having 2 frenchies who can jump on my sofa and over a low stair gate I needed a high one. And my doors were too wide so it was a great buy to have these and fit so easily and quickly! Very pleased

No this extension is 110cm and the safety first extra tall gate is 91 cm so it doesn't fit.
Beware this is much taller than the extra tall safety first gate, it will not fit!

This extender is incompatible with the Lindam extra tall gate. Argos keep promoting the two items together, but they will not work together.
