The Argos Home Maine Bookcase helps you keep your living room or home office organised without taking over your space. It's built to store books, display favourite pieces, and tuck away board games or paperwork in two drawers below. The tall design makes the most of vertical space, so you can keep floors clear while everything stays within reach. Four shelves provide flexible storage for items of different heights, and the two drawers provide closed storage to reduce visible clutter. The white finish sits easily alongside existing furniture.

Lovely bookcase
I bought this a week ago, it was easy to assemble and looks fantastic in my alcove, it is good quality and the the 2 drawers are spacious and great for them bits and bobs, it comes with the straps to attach to the wall so it won’t fall over if banged into or pushed, really happy with it and great value for money

Bookcase
After 4 hours of trying to put together it went to the tip. The screws were not long enough to fit the shelves to the side, every time we thought it was fixed and moved it, it fell apart.

Does the job - some niggles
It does the job and the Oak affect finish is good but a couple of things that are a bit annoying: 1. The drawers look slightly misaligned with each other. 2. The draw pulls are plastic and did not screw on very easily. I will probably replace them. 3. The backboards were not cut completely straight so it was difficult to align them well to make sure the pins were placed correctly. Overall I give them a 3 because at least they stand and hold books, which is what we needed. But even though they are not the most expensive, I expected a little more from the quality.

It's fine but the instructions are hard work
The bookcase is fine for the price. It's fairly solid but feels kind of cheap (which, is what it is so fair enough). Took a long time to put together; the construction is somewhat faffy, and some of the instructions are close to indecipherable. You don't need a PhD in engineering to put it together, but it would be a significant help. Honestly, if I had the choice again I'd spend slightly more money and get one from Ikea.

Perfect and just what I needed! Plenty of shelves and space for books but the drawers underneath are a great addition too as I did need that extra storage without having to buy another cabinet so I’ve saved myself some space too. It makes my writing and reading room look amazing now.

A Surprise purchase!
I recently bought this bookshelf to replace my previous being worn and small, while I was going to buy the 5 shelf ONLY I had noticed it was out of stock.. but suggested instead was this PERFECT shelf! Having the extra storage drawers is a blessing! Being a collector this is actually BETTER than the product I was originally going to purchase! Super easy to set up and once it’s up feels very stable and strong!
