Good value but had to return due to faults
We had to return this due to display and pedal attachment problems. A shame because otherwise it might have been good value for money.

Good product but confusing instructions
Good product however I found it difficult to set up. The instructions are not very clear. Product itself makes you sit very upright on the bike.

Not good
Some years ago I bought a folding exercise bike from Argos, which served me well but needed replacing. This model looked like a pretty much like-for-like replacement so I ordered it. Unfortunately, it wasn't nearly as good. It assembled fairly easily, but the first thing I noticed was that the dial which adjusted the tension (apparently the machine has 8 levels of tension) had no markings on it to show which level I was on and it was possible just to keep turning the dial round and round in either direction without it stopping at maximum or minimum levels. I thought I might be able to live with that, but when I sat on the machine it wobbled on my level floor. I took the bases apart and reassembled but it still wobbled, so I packed the machine back up and sent it back to Argos. The system for returning and refunding worked without any problems, though.

Its adequate
Works well, but the seat is not comfortable. I can barely make 10 minutes on it due to that. Need to find a way to solve it

Exceeded expectations!
Bought a few weeks ago and really rate it, has succeeded expectations. Does everything I need it to do. Easy to put together, get in and out, easy to use.

I experienced exactly the same problem with this bike - Argos were not able to help but I was able to secure the services of a repairman who experienced great difficulty obtaining the part. Sadly the pedals did not hold up and I am now forced to replace this bike - Id like to replace with same model but I am apprehensive about an irreparable design fault.

Hi There.
Opti Folding Magnetic Exercise Bike:
Having checked the instructions, the bike is a manually operated bike. It does not need any power supply to work, only what the user puts in.
2 x AAA are the only batteries that are required with the bike. That is to operate the monitor.
The bike will require the moving parts to be lubricated with light oil periodically to prevent premature wear.
