I would not recommend using plastic utensils in cookware whilst cooking. Plastic utensils and heat are not recommended due to the plastics leaching toxins into the food and even the heat melting the plastic utensils. I would opt for silicone instead. Its safer.

The name of this JML range of pans is Copper Stone. You are correct that they have a forged aluminium core and stainless steel base.
