You're ready to train at home with the feel of proper rowing. This Concept2 RowErg gives you smooth, quiet strokes thanks to its flywheel design. The PM5 monitor tracks every detail of your workout. It's got an adjustable monitor arm so you can position it just right. The ergonomic handle and adjustable footrests keep you comfortable throughout.
The air resistance system adjusts naturally to your effort. Track distance, time, stroke rate, watts, calories and splits on the console. Set programmes by time or distance to match your session. The machine separates into two pieces for easy storage. Caster wheels let you move it around your space without lifting.

Brilliant Rower
This is my second Concept 2 rower, my first one I bought over twenty years ago and only sold it because we had nowhere to put it after a refurb. I looked after it, only ever used it inside and it held it's value exceptionally well. This one is exactly as I would have expected, updated and as robust and smooth as ever. It was very easy to assemble. The screen, at first glance is the same as the older version but it has more features - the addition of the C2 app connectability is a great tool. I love this rower and I know it will serve me very well.

I chose the concept2 rowerg as I have used them in Gyms before and found them easy to use and robust. I wanted to put it in my garage so I needed a design that would be able to cope with a cold slightly damp atmosphere. For that reason I didnt want a screen. The PM5 can be easily removed if the temperature drops too low. I bought a concept floor mat but it is not long enough for the machine to fit on, neither does it prevent movement so I wish I hadnt got it. One problem is that the concept2 has wheels on the front which is great for moving it around but does mean it moves on the floor so I have used heavy tool boxes to brace against each end and that works. I did consider attaching a brace to the concrete garage floor but the heavy boxes work just fine even though it makes the garage look a bit untidy. I also got the luxury seat mat which I would recomend. The app was easy to connect to the PM5. I have had it one week and trained 20 minutes a day. I can feel the workouts heavily in my legs but not so much in my upper body yet, but early days. I am very happy I bought it and have no buyers remorse apart from the floor mat.

In the past I have used cheaper, second hand rowers, but, long term, I think that it really is worth paying out more to get a quality product. How much is a hassle free positive action worth over the month's and years that intend to use it? If I don't, a very expensive dust gatherer!

Concept 2 Rower, often imitated, never beaten
This is one of the best value for money exercise machines on the market. First introduced in the eighties, it is a solid, well manufactured bit of kit, honed to perfection over the decades. Its large footprint gives maximum stability with an easy to read display. The wheel resistance movement is designed to allow all user types to gain their best possible workout performance. The machine gives rowers a very smooth glide with a well designed seat and handle grip. The apparatus is easy to assemble and collapses into two for ease of stowage.

Too technical
I hadn’t realised how technical rowing could be until I bought a concept 2. On my old non concept machine effort was rewarded with appropriate times ie more effort equalled faster times. Not necessarily the same on a concept so without a good technique you can work yourself to a lather and find your times relatively very slow. I did not appreciate this and since I bought it for general fitness I would have been better off with a cheaper old style machine.

Based on the product details I have, the standard-leg version gives a 14 inch / 36 cm seat height.

“ It is 5 years on the frame and 2 years on the parts.
If a customer has an issue, they need to contact us with the serial number located on the machine, alongside a photo or video of the issue. This will go to our technical support team to look into. We dont' come out and service the machines but we can assist customer's remotely. ”

You need about 8 feet x 4 feet to operate it comfortably.
You need about 8x4 foot. The machine splits in half for storage and will stand up in two bits in a 4x3 foot space.

You need a lot of space for this item as it is quite long. It sits in the corner of my living room. When rowing space is need for arms.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Concept2 RowErg with Standard Legs PM5 Rowing Machine: ''The Concept2 RowErg is available with either standard or tall legs. The standard legs give a 14 inch (36 cm) seat height while the taller legs make the seat 20 inches (51 cm) from the floor. The RowErg with standard legs is the new name for the Model D Indoor Rower. The tall leg option replaces the Model E, which is now discontinued. A higher seat is not required for taller users, and both machines will fit inseams up to 38 inches (96.5 cm). Rowers with an inseam longer than this may require an extra-long monorail.''

Yes, but you need to do it online and not in the app. Go to your Concept2 Logbook account and log in.
Click the profile icon in the top right corner and select Edit Profile.
Go to the Applications tab.
Click Connect To the application you prefer and select Strava.

"Workouts that are uploaded to the Concept2 Online Logbook can be automatically synced to other fitness Applications like Strava, Training Peaks, Fitbit and Garmin Connect.
In order to connect your Logbook to these sites, go to your profile page in the logbook and click on Edit Profile. Then, select Applications and follow the instructions for the platform you wish to use. From that point on, any workout which is added to the Logbook will then go straight through to Strava or Fitbit. Only workouts with stroke data (such as those done using ErgData) can be uploaded to Training Peaks and Garmin."

Yes! If you download the excellent Concept 2 App called ErgData, and set up a logbook account on the concept 2 web site, you can then link your logbook and Strava accounts. Another method, if you have an iPhone, is to simply link your ErgData app with Apple Health and then link Apple Health to Strava.
