The Airwalk 24 inch Wheel Size Kids Mountain Bike supports young riders aged 8 and over as they build stamina and control. Its hybrid design blends the speed of a road bike with the stability of a mountain bike, helping them tackle trails and streets with confidence. The 6-speed Shimano gears help them tackle hills and flat roads with ease, whilst adjustable handlebars and saddle accommodate their growth. Each ride helps develop coordination and a sense of achievement.
It's designed for riders aged 8 and over with a height of 146-155cm, with 24-inch wheels suited to this stage of development. The steel frame stands up to regular rides. Removable stabilisers offer reassurance until they're ready to ride unaided. Front and rear alloy V-brakes deliver reliable stopping power on varied terrain. The Revoshift gear system makes changing speeds intuitive and straightforward. MTB-style tyres provide grip on different surfaces. Maximum rider weight is 60kg. Minimal assembly required.

Perfect bike for a pre teen boy!
Really pleased with this bike. I bought it for my 11-year-old son and it’s the perfect size for him. The bike feels sturdy and well-made, and he found it comfortable to ride straight away. Assembly was straightforward, and everything arrived in good condition. He’s been using it regularly and loves how smooth and easy it is to ride. Great value for money and exactly what we were looking for. Would definitely recommend to other parents looking for a bike for a child of a similar age.

We purchased this bike for a Christmas present for my daughter. On opening and assembling the bike we noticed the front tire had a flat tyre. We pumped it up bit it went flat again. After contacting Argos customer services they told us the only thing we could do was pack it back up and send it back for another one. Only problem is we already travelled an hour to pick the bike up in the first place. So this meant travelling back to the store which was an hour there and an hour back also disassembling the bike again to then collect another one to then make up again. Argos was not very helpful. We then had to take the brand new bike to a bike shop and pay £25 for a new inner tube.

Can only select gears 3-6
There’s a fair bit to assemble on this bike which I don’t mind if you have the right tools. What I do mind is the bits that do come assembled don’t work. You can only select gears 3-6 and the rear break needed adjusting as it was constantly rubbing.

For people that are not knowledgeable on bicycle assembly this is a nightmare. The only documentation that came with this bike were safety instructions. There is no information on how to put it together.

Our supplier has advised that the Airwalk 24 inch Wheel Size Kids Mountain Bike - Blue requires -
- Need to fix front wheel.., place the front wheel to fork & tighten properly.
- Adjust front brakes
- Adjust the seat post height to match rider height & fix/tighten properly
- Check the gears & fine tune
- Fix the pedals properly., check the L & R and fix correct side.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Airwalk 24 inch Wheel Size Kids Mountain Bike: To insert the front wheel, you do not need to remove the brakes. Most bikes with rim brakes (like V-brakes or caliper brakes) have a simple mechanism to open the brake arms wider to allow the wheel to fit easily.
Here’s how you can do it:
Locate the brake noodle or quick-release mechanism:
For V-brakes, there’s typically a small metal tube called a noodle that slots into a curved bracket. You can unhook the noodle from the bracket — this will allow the brake arms to spread wide.
For caliper brakes, there is often a small lever (called a quick release) on the brake itself. Flipping this lever will open the brake arms enough to insert the wheel.
Insert the front wheel:
Ensure the wheel is centered properly in the fork dropouts.
Reconnect the brake:
After the wheel is in place, simply re-hook the noodle into the bracket or flip the quick release lever back to its original position.
