About this product
If you're after a gaming monitor that wraps your view right around you, the Samsung Odyssey G5's got a 1000R curve that pulls you straight into the action. It's a 32in VA panel with QHD resolution at 2560x1440, so you're getting sharp, detailed visuals whether you're gaming, streaming or working. The 165Hz refresh rate means everything moves smoothly without lag, and the 1ms response time keeps motion blur to a minimum. It supports HDR10 for more vibrant colours and AMD FreeSync to cut down on screen tearing and stuttering, which is handy when things get intense.
It's got 2 HDMI ports and 1 DisplayPort, so you can hook up your PC, console or whatever else you're using. Really not the quality you would expect with the Samsung Odyssey brand. It's a smeary mess. Tons of ghosting, along with significant colour banding. Very little point in 165Hz when the panel is this poor. I returned it in the end.

Does everything I need.
I recently purchased this monitor to replace my old iMac. Absolutely thrilled with it so far. The only drawback is the fact that it doesn't have built in speakers. Fortunately, I do not use the computer as a TV, so it's not an issue for me. I just use a Bluetooth speaker if I'm watching a YouTube video.

This Samsung Odyssey G5 32 Inch 165Hz QHD Gaming Monitor displays a resolution of 2560x1440, also known as 1440p.
It is not 4k, as that would require a resolution of 3840x2160, or 4x that of 1920x1080 aka 1080p.
