About this product
The Aspley Trundle Day Bed works as a sofa when you need daytime seating and converts to a bed when it's time to sleep. There's a pull-out frame hidden underneath that slides out in seconds, so unexpected guests always have somewhere comfortable to rest. The solid wood frame gives it strength and stability for everyday use. It seats and sleeps single guests comfortably, or you can raise the spare bed to match the height of the main bed for a double or twin arrangement. The clean white finish fits with most bedroom or living room styles.
Wooden slats support the mattress and allow airflow to keep bedding fresh. The solid wood frame stands up to regular sitting and sleeping without wobbling or creaking. The pull-out bed tucks away completely when not needed, so you keep floor space clear for moving around. It's designed for everyday use, not just occasional guests. Self-assembly required with two people recommended, all fixings and instructions included. Comes with a one year manufacturer's guarantee.

Good quality and very easy to use as a full size bed and as a trundle

Great bed, design could be slightly better
We've had this bed for about 5 months now and our guests have tested it multiple times. It was easy to assemble, it's quite sturdy, looks elegant and feels of good quality. It's nice that you can combine it as a double bed or open it as two single beds if needed. I am only giving four stars because the bottom bed's folding legs are secured by a metal pin tied to the bed with a chain - this system was designed quite poorly, as when the legs are folded the pins are not securely in place. One time these pins came off and scraped the floor as we were putting the bottom bed away, irremediably scratching our newly installed wooden floors :( since then we decided to take the chains off and it works just fine. We purchased the mattress separately (the Tagelsav mattress from a certain Swedish company fits perfectly).

Looks good
This day bed looks good and exactly the light design I am after for my room. But I am very disappointed with the frame work which is not so strong, especially the upright frame could bow if I rest my back on the frame, like as I am sitting on the sofa. Habitat should look into this. Although I am keeping the frame for I am using the day bed as an occasional single guest bed only and not as a sofa, and do not want to go through the fuss of returning it. If Habitat can correct this, the daybed would be perfect.

Great for the price!
The finish was poor on some of the pieces, however for the price it is a good bed. The mechanism to raise the trundle bed is a bit fiddly especially if there isn’t a lot of space. Overall I’m super happy with the bed

The recommended depth of the mattress for the Trundle Bed is 15cm because any higher would prevent the trundle going under the bed frame when not being used.
