Our Aspley trundle day bed in solid wood is designed to act as a sofa by day and a bed by night. And with an extra pull-out frame beneath you can be sleepover-ready in seconds. Plus, it's easy to raise the spare to the height of the day bed for a double or twin arrangement. Smart and attractive, that's Aspley. Just add mattresses.

Great bed, design could be slightly better
We've had this bed for about 5 months now and our guests have tested it multiple times. It was easy to assemble, it's quite sturdy, looks elegant and feels of good quality. It's nice that you can combine it as a double bed or open it as two single beds if needed. I am only giving four stars because the bottom bed's folding legs are secured by a metal pin tied to the bed with a chain - this system was designed quite poorly, as when the legs are folded the pins are not securely in place. One time these pins came off and scraped the floor as we were putting the bottom bed away, irremediably scratching our newly installed wooden floors :( since then we decided to take the chains off and it works just fine. We purchased the mattress separately (the Tagelsav mattress from a certain Swedish company fits perfectly).

Great little trundle bed

Looks good
This day bed looks good and exactly the light design I am after for my room. But I am very disappointed with the frame work which is not so strong, especially the upright frame could bow if I rest my back on the frame, like as I am sitting on the sofa. Habitat should look into this. Although I am keeping the frame for I am using the day bed as an occasional single guest bed only and not as a sofa, and do not want to go through the fuss of returning it. If Habitat can correct this, the daybed would be perfect.

Great for the price!
The finish was poor on some of the pieces, however for the price it is a good bed. The mechanism to raise the trundle bed is a bit fiddly especially if there isn’t a lot of space. Overall I’m super happy with the bed

The recommended depth of the mattress for the Trundle Bed is 15cm because any higher would prevent the trundle going under the bed frame when not being used.

The Argos Home Aspley Trundle Day Bed - White requires two standard single mattresses. We recommend that both mattresses be 15 cm thick so that when placed side by side, there are no height differences.
